국문 초록

본 연구는 내현적 자기애와 갈등대처방식이 남편과 아내의 결혼만족도에 영향을 미치는 자기-상대방효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 전문 리서치 회사를 통해 자료를 수집하였고, 337쌍의 부부 자료를 분석하여 구조모형과 개별매개효과를 검증하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 직접 자기효과에서 남편과 아내의 내현적 자기애는 본인의 결혼만족도를 낮게 인식하였고, 직접 상대방효과에서 남편의 내현적 자기애는 아내의 낮은 결혼만족도를 예측하였다. 둘째, 간접 자기효과에서 남편과 아내의 내현적자기애는 자신의 적응적인 갈등대처방식을 덜 사용하여 본인의 결혼만족도를 낮게 인식하였다. 간접 상대방효과에서 남편의 내현적 자기애의 경우, 아내는 적응적인 갈등대처방식을 적게 사용하여 결혼만족도를 낮게 인식하였다. 본 연구는 남편의 내현적 자기애가 아내의 갈등대처방식과 결혼만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인임을 밝힘으로써 부부의 성별 특성을 고려하여 부부의 결혼만족도를 높이기 위한 개입을 시도해볼 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

Objectives: This study aimed to examine the actor-partner effects of covert narcissism and conflict resolution strategies on the marital satisfaction of husbands and wives. Method: Data were collected through a professional research company, and the data from 337 couples was analyzed to test the structural model and individual mediation effects. Results: First, in the direct actor effects, covert narcissism in both husbands and wices was associated with lower marital satisfaction. In the direct partner effects, husbands' covert narcissism predicted lower marital satisfaction in wives. Second, in the indirect actor effects, covert narcissism in both husbands and wives was associated with less use of adaptive conflict resolution strategies, leading to lower marital satisfaction. In the indirect partner effects, husbands' covert narcissism was associated with wives' lower marital satisfaction due to their lesser use of adaptive conflict resolution strategies. Conclusion: By identifying the husband's covert narcissism as a factor influencing the wife's conflict resolution style and marital satisfaction, this study suggests the potential for developing interventions to enhance marital satisfaction that take into account gender-specific characteristics within in couple.
