미술치료사의 발달재활서비스 제공경험과 의미에 대한 포토보이스 사례연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 미술치료사의 발달재활서비스 제공 경험이 어떠한지 탐색하고 미술치료사의 발달재활서비스 제공경험 의미를 확인하여 그 의미와 어려움을 알리고 변화를 도모하는데 목적이 있다. 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 제공인력 미술치료사가 직접 발달재활서비스 제공경험을 사진으로 찍고 의미를 부여하는 방법으로 Wang과 Burris가 체계화한 참여적 행동연구인 포토보이스 연구방법을 선택하여 Latz가 정리한 파악, 모집, 교육, 기록, 서술, 관념화, 발표, 확증의 포토보이스 8단계 절차로 연구를 수행하였다. 본 연구의 참여자는 발달재활서비스 제공경험 6개월 이상의 미술치료사 7명이 참여하였다.‘기록’단계에서 3회의 포토보이스 활동으로 참여자들의 사진과 글을‘서술’단계에서 3회의 토론모임 자료를 수집하였다. 자료분석 결과 경험은 발달재활서비스의 의미, 미술심리재활의 힘, 제공인력의 어려움의 3개의 상위주제를 연구결과로 도출하였다. 경험의 의미로 발달재활서비스의 의미는 제공인력인 미술치료사가 이용자인 장애아동, 그리고 그들의 부모와 만나 함께 성장하고 소통한 장으로 미술치료사는 미술재활의 힘인 창조적이고 성격, 인격, 감정이 들어간 미술활동을 통해 장애아동의 발달을 가능하게 하였다. 제공인력의 어려움은 발달재활서비스 시행에서 미비한 여러 문제로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 본 연구의 의의와 제한점에 대하여 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This study explore the experience of art therapists providing developmental rehabilitation services, confirmed the meaning of their experience providing developmental rehabilitation services, informed people of the meaning and difficulties of the experience, and sought changes. To achieve the research purpose, the photovoice research method, the study adopted a participatory action research systematized by Wang and Burris and art therapists, who were the providers, directly took pictures of their experiences providing developmental rehabilitation services and gave them meaning. The research was conducted using the eight-step photovoice procedure organized by Latz: identification, invitation, education, documentation, narration, ideation, presentation, and confirmation. The participants in this study were seven art therapists with over six months of experience providing developmental rehabilitation services. The study collected photos and writings from participants through three photovoice activities in the ‘documentation’ stage and data from three discussion meetings in the ‘narration’ stage. As a result of data analysis, the study found the Experience Demonstrated three major themes: the meaning of developmental rehabilitation services, the power of art in psychological rehabilitation, and the difficulties of providing personnel. The meaning of developmental rehabilitation service in terms of experience was that the art therapist supported the disabled children and their parents to grow and communicate together and their development of personality, character, and emotion through creative art activities which had the power of art rehabilitation. The difficulties in providing human resources were reflected in several problems in the implementation of developmental rehabilitation. Based on these research results, the significance and limitations of this study were discussed.
