사건, 탈주, 탈영토화: 한 특수교사의 가치 갈등 경험에 대한 내러티브 탐구

국문 초록

본 내러티브 탐구는 제2저자가 특수교사로서 재직하던 학교에서 겪은 한 사건을 대상으로 한다. 본 연구는 그녀가 본인의 신념과 학교 현장 간의 갈등을 어떻게 인식하고 이에 어떻게 대응했는지를 후기구조주의 이론에 근거하여 분석하였다. 자료 생성은 연구자 성찰노트, 심층면담, 사건 관련 문서를 통해 이루어졌다. 자료 분석을 위해 주제 분석법, 구조 분석법, 대화 및 수행 분석법을 활용하였다. 자료 분석 결과를 제2저자의 자서전적 이야기, 제1저자의 이론적 (재)이야기화, 두 연구자의 자기성찰적 (재)이야기화 등 세가지 버전의 내러티브로 제시하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 교사는 본인의 신념에 위배되는 교장의 장애차별주의적 언행을 겪으며 이를 개인의 문제가 아닌, 현 교육배치의 제한성, 억압성, 폭력성으로 보았다. 둘째, 그녀는 장애학생들과 본인의 주체 양식을 제한하는 학교의 일상적 실제에 저항할 수밖에 없었다. 셋째, 그녀는 본인의 신념과 상충되는 장애차별주의적 가정과 실제에 대항하는 과정에서 본인의 변화 뿐 아니라 주변 모습의 미묘한 변화를 관찰할 수 있었다. 이러한 연구 결과가 의미하는 것이 무엇이며, 교사교육과 관련하여 본 연구가 갖는 시사점이 무엇인지 논의하였다. 마지막으로, 향후 연구 방향을 제시하였다. This narrative inquiry explored an incident that the second author experienced in the elementary school where she worked as a special educator. This study examined, through a theoretical framework informed by poststructural theories, the ways in which she interpreted and responded to the tension between her ideals and the exclusionary practices of the school where the incident occurred. For data collection, in-depth interviews, reflexive research journals, document collections were utilized. The data were analyzed through thematic, structural, and dialogic/performance analysis methods. The results were as follows: First, the teacher acknowledged the oppressive and even violent ways in which she and her students with disabilities were subjectivated within the territorialized education assemblage. Second, she resisted the taken-for-granted ableist assumptions and practices and followed the lines of flight while envisioning a smooth space. Last, she found that her acts of resistance disrupted the arrangement within the education assemblage. It was discussed how schools might be a limiting and, yet, constantly shifting space and what roles teachers could play in deterritorialization. The implications for teacher education were discussed.
