국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 초등학교 특수학급 교사가 작성한 개별화교육계획(IEP) 교육목표의 전반적인 작성 실태 및 질적 특성을 분석하는 데 있다. 이를 위하여 교사 32명에게 동일 학생의 국어와 수학 IEP를 1부씩 제공받아 총 64부의 IEP 교육목표를 분석하였다. 수집한 자료는 기술통계, 대응표본 t검정을 통해 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, IEP 유형은 교과 중심(학업적) IEP가 가장 많았고, 학기와 월별목표는 위계적인 구조를 이루고 있었다. 목표의 수는 평균적으로 연간목표 3~4개, 학기별목표 5개, 월별목표 8개였다. 목표 작성 시 참고하는 자료는 학생의 현재 수행 수준에 대한 일반적인 진술이었다. 둘째, 국어와 수학 교과 간 IEP 교육목표의 질적 특성을 분석한 결과 국어는 사회적 상호작용과 관련된 목표 진술 측면에서 강점을 보였고, 수학은 관찰 및 측정가능한 목표 진술에서 유리한 특성을 보이며 두 교과 간 질적 특성에 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 시사점과 후속 연구를 위한 제언을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the overall state and qualitative characteristics of Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and objectives developed by elementary school special education teachers. For this, a total of 64 IEP educational goals in Korean and mathematics were collected from 32 teachers, with each teacher providing one IEP for a single student. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, paired-sample t-tests. The results of this study are as follows. First, curriculum-based (academic) IEPs were the most common type, and goals set for each semester and month demonstrated a hierarchical structure. On average, the number of goals written per IEP was 3-4 for annual goals, 5 for semester goals, and 8 for monthly goals. Additionally, the reference materials consulted when setting goals were general statements about the student's present performance level. Second, the analysis of the qualitative characteristics of IEP educational objectives between Korean and mathematics subjects revealed that Korean demonstrated strengths in goal statements related to social interaction, while mathematics exhibited advantages in terms of observable and measurable goal statements. Significant qualitative differences were identified between the two subjects. Based on these findings, implications and suggestions for further research were discussed.
