국문 초록

본 연구는 그림책을 활용한 교사 개입 수학활동에 나타난 만 5세 유아의 수학적 탐구행동 특성에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 G시에 소재한 H유치원 만 5세 유아 20명이다. 그림책을 활용한 수학활동은 그림책을 보고 교사와 함께 이야기를 나누며 수학적 탐구활동을 수행하고 평가하는 순으로, 매주 4회씩 총 20회 실시하였다. 활동분석은 비디오 촬영과 전사를 통해 이루어졌다. 연구결과 그림책을 활용한 교사 개입 수학활동을 경험한 유아들의 수학적 탐구행동의 특성은 첫째, 그림책의 수학적 개념을 일상생활과 연결짓기 들째, 일상의 여러 소품을 활용하여 수학적으로 의사소통하기 셋째, 그림책의 수학적 개념을 놀이에 반영하기 넷째, 그림책 자체를 놀잇감으로 사용하여 창의적으로 수학적 개념 탐구하기였다. 따라서 유아들에게 의미있는 수학적 경험을 제공하기 위해서는 유아 자신의 경험과 실생활을 토대로 한 그림책을 활용한 교사 개입 수학활동이 효과적이라고 볼 수 있다.

영문 초록

This research is to find out the characteristics of mathematical thinking activities represented in the process of math activities between young children and teachers. Twenty young children of five years old in H pre-school of Gumi city have participated in this research. Math activities has included the following processes. Firstly, see a picture book and then talk each other about it. Next, attend on a math activity four times per week, in total twenty times. Finally, evaluate in order to analyze the math activities, this research has recorded by a camcorder and the conversations among the young children have been written. As a result, there are some characteristics related to the young children who has experienced a mathematical thinking behavior with picture book. Firstly, after thinking the concept of numbers related to the theme of picture book they use a math knowledge as a play. Secondly, with math concept young children have learned how to use a toy to play with picture book itself. Also they show mathematical thinking activity composed of creativity. Therefore, math activities are considered to be useful for young children to offer meaningful mathematical activities based on their own experience and every day life with picture books. But It is clarified that the research has a limitation to discover an extraction of its meaning from an analysis of observed data in ten times during only five weeks. More educational meanings could be extracted with observations with more and sufficient time.
