국문 초록

본 연구는 그림책을 활용한 반편견교육에 대한 유아 교사의 중요도 인식과 실행도 인식 간 차이를 알아보기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해 유아 교사 193명으로부터 질문지 자료를 수집 후 SPSS 26 프로그램을 이용해 t-검증과 중요도-실행도 분석을 하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 그림책을 활용한 반편견교육의 모든 하위요인에서 중요도 인식이 실행도 인식보다 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 하위요인별 중요도-실행도 분석한 결과 현 수준 유지할 필요한 영역은 ‘그림책을 활용한 반편견교육의 목적’, ‘그림책을 활용한 반편견교육의 그림책 읽기 활동’ 및 ‘그림책을 활용한 반편견교육의 평가’로 나타났으며, ‘그림책을 활용한 반편견교육의 내용’, ‘그림책을 활용한 반편견교육의 그림책 선정기준’은 장기 개선할 필요한 영역으로 분류되었다. 셋째, 문항별 중요도-실행도 분석한 결과 하위요인의 세부 내용의 구체적인 분포를 확인하였다. 이처럼 그림책을 활용한 반편견교육에 대해 유아 교사들이 갖는 인식을 중요도와 실행도로 나누어 분석한 결과를 바탕으로 유아 교육 현장에서 반편견교육을 활성화하는 지원 방향 및 구체적 지원전략을 도출하였다.

영문 초록

The aim of this study was to discover the disparities between the perceived importance and perceived performance of early childhood teachers in regard to anti-bias education using picture books. To this end, survey data collected from 193 teachers were analyzed using SPSS Statistics 26.0. The results for the a t-test and importance-performance matrix analysis are as follows: First, the teachers’ perceived importance was found to be higher than their perceived performance in all areas of anti-bias education using picture books. Second, as a result of analyzing the importance-execution of each subfactor, the areas that need to be maintained at the current level are ‘purpose of anti-bias education using picture books,’ ‘reading of anti-bias education using picture books’ and ‘evaluation of anti-bias education using picture books.’ Additionally, ‘contents of anti-bias education using picture books’ and ‘criteria for selecting picture books for anti-bias education’ were classified as areas that need long-term improvement. Third, as a result of analyzing the importance-execution of each item, the specific distribution of the details of the subfactors was confirmed. Based on the results of analyzing the perceptions of early childhood teachers on anti-bias education using picture books by dividing them into importance and performance, future directions and a specific support strategy for revitalizing anti-bias education were derived for the field of early childhood education.
