집단미술치료가 학교 부적응청소년의 우울, 자아존중감, 대인관계에 미치는 영향: 타로 이미지를 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구는 타로 이미지를 중심으로 한 집단미술치료가 학교 부적응청소년의 우울, 자아존중감 및 대인관계에 미치는 영향을 탐구하는 것이다. 연구를 위해 I시 B 중학교에서 학교생활 적응검사를 하여 학교 부적응청소년을 대상으로 동질성 검사를 진행하고 실험집단과 통제집단에 각각 10명씩 무선 할당하였다. 연구는 2022년 5월 20일부터 7월 15일까지 10주간 진행되었으며, 실험집단은 회기당 60분씩, 주 1회, 총 10회기로 타로 이미지 중심집단미술치료를 실시하였다. 연구에 참여한 실험집단과 연구 집단 10명 중 중도 탈락한 2명이 제외된 각 8명을 대상으로 SPSS WIN 27.0으로 사전-사후 t-test와 Fisher’s exact test, Mann-Whitney U, Wilcoxon 부호순위 검정을 사용하여 그 결과를 검증하였다. 연구결과 실험집단에서 타로 이미지 중심 집단미술치료가 학교 부적응청소년의 우울, 자아존중감, 대인관계 향상에 긍정적인 효과가 있음을 확인하였다. 첫째, 실험집단의 사전-사후검사 우울척도에서 유의한 결과가 나타났으며 우울감, 열등감, 의욕 저하 요인에 긍정적 효과가 있었다. 둘째, 실험집단의 사전-사후검사 자아존중감 척도에서 유의한 결과가 나타났으며 자아존중감 향상에 긍정적 효과가 있었다. 셋째, 실험집단의 사전-사후검사 대인관계 척도에서 유의한 결과가 나타났으며, 만족감, 의사소통, 신뢰감, 친근감, 민감성, 개방성, 이해성 요인에 긍정적 효과가 있었다. 본 연구의 결론은 연구결과를 중심으로 타로 이미지 중심 집단미술치료에서 사용된 타로카드는 청소년의 내면 탐색에 유용한 도구로써 활용 가능성을 보여주었다. 따라서 정서적 반응 및 표현에 방어적인 청소년에게 타로카드의 이미지 사용은 타인과의 정서적 교류 및 심리적 회복을 도와 학교생활 적응에 긍정적 영향을 줄 수 있다는 것에서 치료적 함의를 갖는다.

영문 초록

This study is investigated how group art therapy that focused on tarot images affected depression, self-esteem, and interpersonal relationships of school-maladjusted adolescents. For the study, B Middle School students in City I were tested regarding their adjustment to school life. Thereafter, homogeneity tests were conducted for school-maladjusted adolescents before randomly assigning 10 students each to the experimental and control groups. This study was conducted over a 10-week period from May 20 to July 15, 2022. A 60-minute group art therapy session focusing on tarot images was conducted with the experimental group once a week for a total of 10 sessions. The results regarding eight of the 10 participants in the experimental and study groups (excluding two who dropped out) were verified by performing pre-post t-tests, Fisher’s exact test, Mann-Whitney U test, and Wilcoxon signed-rank test using SPSS WIN 27.0. As a result of the study, group art therapy in the experimental group (which focused on tarot images) had a positive effect on improving depression, self-esteem, and interpersonal relationships among school-maladjusted adolescents. First, the pre- and post-test depression scale of the experimental group showed significant result, and a positive effect was found on factors such as depression, feelings of inferiority, and low motivation. Second, the pre- and post-test self-esteem scale of the experimental group showed significant positive effects, and a positive effect on improving self-esteem. Third, the pre- and post-test interpersonal relationship scale of the experimental group showed significant results, and a positive effect on the factors of satisfaction, communication, trust, friendliness, sensitivity, openness, and understanding was found. In conclusion, the findings of this study showed the possibility of utilizing tarot cards as a useful tool to explore the inner minds of adolescents as they were used in group art therapy that focused on tarot images. Therefore, using images of tarot cards for adolescents with defensive emotional reactions and expressions has therapeutic implications in that it can positively impact their adjustment to school life by helping them engage in emotional exchanges with others and promoting their psychological recovery.
