잠재성장모형을 이용한 진로성숙도의 변화 양상과 학교 진로교육의 영향

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 잠재성장모형을 이용하여 초등학교 5학년부터 고등학교 3학년까지 진로성숙도의 변화 양상을 예측하고, 이에 대한 학교 진로교육 참여 및 만족도 변수의 영향을 분석하는 데 있었다. 이를 위하여 한국교육종단연구 2013패널의 1~8차년도 학생 자료를 활용하여 SPSS 및 AMOS 통계 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였다. 이 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 초등학교 시기의 진로성숙도는 중학교 및 고등학교 시기의 진로성숙도와 유의미한 상관을 보이지만, 초등학교에서 시간이 멀어질수록 그 상관 강도는 약해진다. 초등학교 시기 진로성숙도 형성의 중요성과 이후 진로교육을 통한 진로성숙도 향상의 가능성을 확인할 수 있었다. 둘째, 초등학교 5학년부터 고등학교 3학년까지 진로성숙도의 변화는 비선형(초5~중3)-선형(고1~고3)의 비연속 분할 잠재성장모형으로 가장 잘 설명될 수 있었다. 진로성숙도는 초등학교 5학년의 초기치가 높다가 중학교 3학년까지 감소하고, 고등학교 1학년에 다소 높아졌다가 고등학교 3학년까지 낮아지는 변화 모습을 보였다. 셋째, 중학교 및 고등학교의 진로교육 참여도 및 만족도는 진로성숙도 변화에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 특히, 진로상담 및 진로수업보다 진로체험이 진로성숙도에 더 큰 영향을 미쳤다. 이러한 연구 결과를 토대로 학교 진로교육의 질적 제고와 후속 연구를 제언하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to predict changes in career maturity from the 5th grade of elementary school to the 3rd grade of high school using the latent growth modeling and to analyze the influence of school career education participation and satisfaction variables on this. For this purpose, student data from Waves 1 to 8 of the Korean Longitudinal Study of Education 2013 panel were used and analyzed using SPSS and AMOS statistical programs. The main results of this study are as follows: First, career maturity during elementary school shows a significant correlation with career maturity during middle school and high school, but the strength of the correlation becomes weaker as time goes by from elementary school. The importance of forming career maturity during elementary school and the possibility of improving career maturity through career education later can be confirmed. Second, the change in career maturity from the 5th grade of elementary school to the 3rd grade of high school can be best explained by the non-linear (5th grade of elementary school to 3rd year of middle school) - linear (1st to 3rd year of high school) discontinuous piecewise latent growth model. Career maturity showed a change in that the initial value was high in the 5th grade of elementary school, then decreased until the 3rd year of middle school, increased somewhat in the 1st year of high school, and then decreased until the 3rd year of high school. Third, participation in and satisfaction with career education in middle and high schools had a positive effect on changes in career maturity. In particular, work experience had a greater impact on career maturity than career counseling and career classes. Based on these research results, it was suggested to improve the quality of career education in schools and follow-up research.
