노인의 자기결정적 고독과 외로움 수준에 따른 군집 간 정서조절과 삶의 만족도 차이

국문 초록

본 연구는 노인들의 고독과 외로움의 수준에 따라 나타나는 군집유형을 알아보고, 그에 따라 인지적 정서조절전략 및 삶의 만족도에서의 차이가 있는지를 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 노인 315명을 대상으로 자기결정적 고독동기 척도(SDS), UCLA 외로움 척도(RULS), 인지적 정서조절 질문지(CERQ), 삶의 만족도 척도(SWLS)를 사용하여 자료를 수집하였고, 군집분석과 일원변량분석 및 사후검증을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 자기결정적 고독과 외로움이 낮은 ‘사교적 집단’, 자기결정적 고독이 낮고 외로움이 높은 ‘외로움 집단’, 자기결정적 고독이 높고 외로움이 낮은 ‘자발적 고독집단’, 그리고 자기결정적 고독과 외로움이 모두 높은 ‘회피적 고독집단’ 4개의 군집이 도출되었다. 둘째, 각 군집들은 인지적 정서조절과 삶의 만족도에서 유의미한 집단 차이를 보였다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 시사점 및 제한점 그리고 후속 연구를 위한 제언을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to classify clusters of the elderly in terms of dimension self-determined solitude and loneliness and examine differences in cognitive emotion regulation and satisfaction with life across clusters. A total of 315 elderly completed the Self-determined Motivation for Solitude scale(SDS), the Rivised UCLA Loneliness Scale(RULS), Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnaire(CERQ), Satisfaction With Life Scale(SWLS). The data were used for cluster analysis, ANOVA, and post-hoc verification. The finding of the analysis yielded four clusters: ‘sociable group’ with low solitude and loneliness, ‘loneliness group’ with low solitude and high loneliness, ‘voluntary solitude group’ with high solitude and low loneliness, and ‘aversive solitude group’ with high solitude and loneliness, These groups showed significant differences in cognitive emotion regulation and satisfaction with life across clusters. Implications and limitations, and suggestions for future studies were presented.
