채팅상담에 대한 내담자와 상담자의 성과 인식 및 내담자 전문적도움추구태도에 따른 비교

국문 초록

이 연구는 동일 사례에 대하여 내담자와 상담자의 채팅상담 성과 인식과 내담자 전문적도움추구태도에 따른 성과에 어떤 차이가 있는지 알아보기 위해 수행되었다. 충남에 소재한 대학에서 채팅상담을 신청한 대학생 54명(남 20명, 여 34명)을 대상으로 상담자 2명에게 각각 1회, 총 2회 상담을 실시하였다. 채팅상담 종료 후 내담자와 상담자 만족도척도를 사용하여 설문을 실시하였다. 내담자와 상담자의 채팅상담 성과와 채팅상담만족도를 비교 분석하기 위해 대응표본t검정, 독립표본t검정을 실시하였다. 첫째, 상담자는 내담자보다 채팅상담 성과를 낮게 인식하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 상담자는 내담자에 비해 상담에 대한 만족도를 낮게 인식한 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 내담자의 전문적도움추구태도에 대한 긍정적 태도가 높을수록 채팅상담성과(자기 및 타인이해, 자기개방, 정보획득, 정서해소, 변화의지)가 통계적으로 유의미하게 높은 것으로 나타났다. 위의 결과를 바탕으로 채팅상담 영역에서 상담전공자들이 전문적인 상담사로 양성되는데 필요한 기초자료를 제공하였고, 연구의의와 한계점을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This study was to examine how clients and counselor perceive online counseling chat (i.e., teletherapy) and clients’ help-seeking behaviors. Data were collected from two counselors who provided online counseling chat services for 54 colleges students (male =20 ;female=34) at a university in Chungnam, South Korea. Both counselors and college students were asked to complete a questionnaire on their perceptions of online counseling chat outcome. The findings of the study indicated that there was a significant difference in perceived online counseling chat outcome, with the counselors scoring lower on outcome than clients. Similarly, the counselors reported a significantly lower score on satisfaction level of online counseling chat than their clients. Lastly, the clients with stronger endorsement of help-seeking behaviors were more likely to report higher scores on online counseling chat outcomes (e.g., self- and others' understanding, self-opening, information acquisition, emotional resolution, and willingness to change). Implications of the study are discussed.
