독서치료가 왕따 당하는 초등학생의 집단따돌림 피해 수준과 자아개념에 미치는 효과

국문 초록

본 연구는 왕따 당하는 초등학생을 위한 독서치료 프로그램을 개발․실시하여 독서치료가 이들의 집단따돌림 피해 수준 감소와 자아개념에 미치는 효과를 검증해 보는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 연구대상은 대구광역시 소재 ○○초등학교 6학년 324명을 대상으로 집단따돌림 피해 점수가 높은 상위 7%, 22명을 선정하였다. 이 중에서 담임교사의 추천과 본인 및 학부모의 참여 의사를 밝힌 16명의 아동들을 실험집단과 통제집단에 각각 8명씩 무선으로 배치하였고, 8명의 실험집단 아동들을 대상으로 독서치료 프로그램을 실시하였다. 실험집단에는 회기당 50분씩, 10회기에 걸쳐 자아개념 향상을 위한 독서치료 프로그램을 실시하였다. 자료분석은 각 집단별로 사전-사후-추후검사의 평균과 표준편차를 산출하여 비교하였으며, 각 집단의 사후검사와 사전검사의 차이, 그리고 추후검사와 사전검사의 차이에 대해서 각각 독립표본 t-검증을 실시하였다. 연구결과 본 연구에서 개발한 독서치료 프로그램은 왕따 아동의 집단따돌림 피해 수준을 감소시키고 자아개념을 향상시키는데 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of the bibliotherapy group counseling program on the self-concept and rejection of the victimized children in the elementary school. Participants consisted of 14 sixth-graders who showed a high level peer victimization in pretest, the treatment group and control group were divided at random. The treatment group children participated in the bibliotherapy group counseling program 3 times a 1 week for 4 weeks. This bibliotherapy group counseling program consisted of 10 session and included 4 steps for making relationship, understanding oneself, solving problems, making friendship and finishing. The instruments of measurement were the peer victimization scale and self-concept scale. The data was analyzed by mean, standard deviation and was verified with a independent t-test between the treatment group and the control group observing the same quality, and differences between pre and post, pro and follow-up tests. The major findings of this study are as follows : 1. The bibliotherapy group counseling program reduced participant's peer victimization level. 2. The bibliotherapy group counseling program improved participant's self-concept; especially, improved physical and appearance, physical ability, peer relationship, emotion, personality, all subject, special subject. But relationship with the significant person did not improved. The Conclusion of this study are as follows : 1. The bibliotherapy group counseling program has significant effects on reducing the participant's peer victimization level. 2. The bibliotherapy group counseling program has significant effects on improving the participant's self-concept in the following areas; physical and appearance, physical ability, peer relationship, emotion, personality, all subject, special subject.
