병설유치원 교사의 생태유아교육에 대한 인식 및 실천에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 병설유치원 교사들의 생태유아교육에 대한 인식 및 실천 현황을 알아봄으로써, 생태중심의 세계관에 근거한 현시대적 요청과 생태유아교육의 방향성을 모색하는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구 대상은 서울특별시, 인천광역시, 경기도, 강원도, 충청도, 전라도, 경상도, 그리고 제주도에 소재하고 있는 초등학교 병설유치원 교사 455명을 대상으로 설문지 조사 방법을 사용하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 병설유치원 교사의 생태유아교육사상과 생태유아교육과정에 대한 인식은 평균 이상으로 나타났으며, 생태유아교육사상에서는 아동관에 관한 인식이 가장 높게 나타났다. 그리고 학력을 제외한 지역, 연령, 교직경력, 연수경력에 따라 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 둘째, 병설유치원 교사의 생태유아교육의 실천 정도는 생태유아교육 환경 실천, 생태유아교육의 운영실제 실천, 그리고 생태유아교육 프로그램 실천이 순으로 나타났다. 실천정도의 차이는 연령에서만 유의미하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate teachers perceptions and practices regarding Eco-Early Childhood Education in Public Kindergartens attached to Public Elementary Schools. The subjects selected for the study were 455 public kindergarten teachers who were working in Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi-do, Gangwon-do, Chungcheong -do, Jeolla-do, Gyeongsang-do, and Jeju-do. The data for the study were collected by using questionnaires of teachers perceptions and practices in Eco-Early Childhood Education. Then the data were analyzed with SPSS/PC+ version 12.0. The results of analysis can be summarized as follows: First, the result of the teachers perceptions of philosophy and curriculum of Eco- Early Childhood Education came out to be 3.92 on average. The score for the philosophy was 3.76, and the score for the understandings of curriculum was 3.98. Teachers perceptions of Eco-Early Childhood Education varied by the region, the teachers age, and the length of teaching experience. Second, the result of the teachers degrees of practices in fostering environment, administration, and program came out to be 3.30 on average. The score for the degrees of practices of the environments was 3.39, the score for the degrees of practices of the administration was 3.35, and the score for the degrees of practices of the program was 3.32. Teachers perceptions of Eco-Early Childhood Education varied by the region, the teachers age, and the length of teaching experience.
