결혼이주여성 대상 수필교육을 통한 내면화 사례연구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 결혼이주여성들의 삶의 가치를 충족시키고 삶의 질을 향상시키기 위한 방법으로 수필 읽기 교육이 어떠한 효과가 있는지를 확인하는 것이다. 이를 위해 창작 수필 텍스트를 개작과정을 거쳐 활용하였다. 결혼이주여성 다섯 명을 대상으로 교수학습 및 심층면담을 통한 사례연구를 실시하였으며, 분석틀은 글래스볼과 블룸의 가치, 태도, 흥미로 나타나는 내면화를 염두에 두고 진행하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 남편에게 고마워하며, 힘들었던 이주 초기에 비해 지금의 삶에 감사를 느꼈고, 자녀교육을 위해 수필 읽기 및 써보기에 도전하려는 모습을 보였다. 이는 수필교육의 효용성을 깨닫는 결과였다. 그러나 결혼이주여성이 배우는 한국어 교재에는 수필이 전혀 실려 있지 않았으며, 이는 수필교육에 대한 가치로 귀결됐다. 각자의 이력과 학력에서 비롯된 수필 이해도는 달랐지만, 수필 읽기를 통해 지난날을 회상하며 경험을 재생산해내는 태도로 나타났다. 흥미는 글을 쓰고 싶은 욕구로 나타났다. 즉 일기 쓰기와 모국으로 여행을 다녀온 이후 여행기를 쓰고 싶은 욕구를 드러냈다. 본 연구가 갖는 의의는 현장 수필교육을 통해 수필교육이 결혼이주여성들에게 효과가 있다는 것을 확인하였다는 것이다. 또한 결혼이주여성이 배우는 교재에는 수필을 비롯한 다양한 문학작품이 수록되기를 제언했다.

영문 초록

The goal of this study is to verify the effect of essay reading pedagogy as a method to fulfill life values and to enhance life quality of marriage migration women. To this end, this study was conducted with internalization in mind which is expressed by Krathwohl and Bloom’s values, attitudes and interests. A case study involving essay reading and in-depth interview with five marriage migration women revealed that although difficult at first, migration women are living with satisfaction, showing gratitude to their spouse, and challenging themselves to read and write essay for the education of their children. This was the result of realizing the ‘value’ of essay education usefulness. Nonetheless, none of the Korean textbooks available for marriage migrant women were found to contain essay within the content. Although the level of understanding essay varied based on their educational background, essay reading enabled migration women to reproduce the experience of reminiscing their past. Moreover, ‘interest’ appeared as a desire to write. Specifically, participants expressed their desire to keep a diary and to write travel notes about their home country visits. It is expected that marriage migration women who go through internalization will lead their life gallantly as a member of the society.
