마을공동체 회복을 위한 문화예술교육 사례 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 강원도 00군 00면 00리 주민들을 대상으로 진행한 문화예술교육을 통해 마을 주민 간 갈등해소와 공동체가 회복하는 과정을 질적 사례연구로 밝히고자 하였다. 00리는 지리적 특성상 가구들이 모여 있지 않아 이웃 주민 간 교류가 어렵고 도시에서 이주해 펜션을 운영하는 사람들이 대부분으로 서로 간 경쟁하면서 경계하고 쌓인 갈등을 해소하기 원했다. 본 프로그램은 공동체의 화합을 목적으로 자연을 관찰하고 사진으로 기록하는 문화예술활동을 통해 개인의 변화와 공동체의 긍정적 변화를 탐색하고자 하였으며 자연을 모방하여 각자의 내재된 정신세계를 드러내고 나를 인식하는 과정을 통해 진리와 행복, 예술을 통한 소통으로 공동체를 회복하고자 하였다. 20명의 주민을 대상으로 16회 문화예술교육 프로그램을 진행한 결과, 개인에게는 여가와 취미생활을 통한 정서적 힐링과 삶의 예술화를 가져왔으며 공동체로는 단절된 자기를 극복하고 지역사회 일원으로 변화하는 교육적 가치를 확인할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

This is a qualitative case study which examines the process where a culture and art education program helps village residents to solve conflicts among them and recover community. The target village was 00-ri, 00-myeon, 00-gun, Gangwon Province. Residents of 00-ri were geographically separate from each other, and could not easily communicate with each other. Most of them were outsiders who run pensions in the village. They were competitive and wary among one another. They wanted to resolve conflicts. This study applied a culture and art education program where residents could observe nature and take photos of nature. The purpose of the program was to induce changes of individuals and bring about positive results for the community through participation in cultural and artistic activities. By mimicking nature, participants were intended to reveal their inner world, and perceive themselves, communicating with each other through truth, happiness, and art, and recovering the community. This study performed 16 sessions of the culture and art education program to 20 residents of the village. It was found that, through leisure and hobby activities, participants could acquire emotional healing and artistic lifestyle, and it was identified that the program was helpful for residents to overcome separation among them and recover community.
