국문 초록

본 연구는 심리학과 영성의 통합을 위한 기독교 상담자 교육과정의 구체적인 방향성을 찾기 위해 상담자 교육에서 영성수련을 포함시키는 것이 상담 훈련생의 심리발달 수준과 영성심화 사이에 어떤 상호 영향을 주고받게 되는지를 탐구하는 것을 연구목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 서울에 소재한 한 기독교 상담 교육기관에서 2005년부터 2014년까지 역동심리치료 이론학습 및 임상실습과 함께 묵상기도(contemplative prayer), 렉시오디비나(Lectio Divina)와 집단 영성지도(group spiritualdirection)를 통한 영성수련을 병행하여 실시하면서, 본 연구자가 참여 관찰한 내용과 면접을 통해 22명의 연구 참여자들이 이 과정에서 자기 관찰한 것을 보고한 답변을 종합하여 분석하는 질적 연구를 하였다. 그 연구 결과 상담자 훈련과정에서 영성 수련을 함께하는 것이 공감능력이나 자기 자각과 같은 상담자로서의 심리적 발달과 영성심화에 상호 영향을 주고받는 직접적인 과정이 될 수 있으며, 결과적으로 목적한)2명의 참여자들이 내담자 문제에 통합적으로 접근할 수 있는 전문적인 기독교 상담자들로 성장하는 것을 긍정적으로 관찰할 수 있었다. 이런 연구결과는 기독교 상담을 위한 상담자 교육에서 인간 행동의 심층적인 측면을 이해하고 치료하기 위한 심리학적 영역의 이론 학습 및 실제적인 임상 훈련과 함께 영성의 형성과 심화를 이룰 수 있는 실제적인 영성수련이 병행되는 과정의 필요성을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The goal of this study was to explore substantive direction of educational process for Christian counselors for the integration of psychology and spirituality and to present proper curriculum to train counselors in particular who can serve client as a whole person. For this purpose, this article collectively executed qualitative analysis with two data sources from an institute located in Seoul, Korea. First data were collected from psychodynamic psychotherapy lectures and practicums done in the institute where I had been an instructor and supervisor and from the group Lectio Divina and group spiritual direction which I participated and observed from 2005 to 2014. Second data source was the surveys which 22 counselors who had been trained in the institute answered on self–observation of their development. The results showed that this training approach that is experiencing counseling training courses paralleled with spiritual discipline facilitated reciprocal influences between developing counselor’s psychological ability in such as empathy and self–awareness and deepening their spirituality. Thus, the twelve participants were developed into professional Christian counselors who can approach clients by an integrative way. The finding of this study presents a necessity that the Christian counselors training program should include both psychotherapy and spiritual discipline.
