실업계 고등학교 전문교과 교사의 발달특성과 전문성의 관계

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 실업계 고등학교 전문교과 교사의 발달특성과 전문성의 관계를 구명하는데 있었다. 이 연구의 모집단은 2005년 9월 현재 전국의 농업계, 공업계, 상업계 고등학교에 근무하는 전문교과 교사이며, 학교계열에 따른 유층군집표집방법에 따라 603명의 전문교과 교사를 표본으로 선정하였다. 자료수집은 2005년 10월 31일부터 11월 15일까지 우편조사를 통하여 이루어졌고, 최종분석에는 372부가 활용되었다. 이 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 실업계 고등학교 전문교과 교사들은 능력구축 특성, 안정화 특성, 실험주의 특성, 재평가 특성을 상대적으로 많이 보유하고 있는 반면, 승진지향 특성, 보수주의 특성, 생존 특성, 침체 특성은 상대적으로 적게 보유하고 있다. 특히 능력구축 특성은 연령이나 교직경력 등에 관계없이 지속적으로 높게 나타나고 있다. 둘째, 실업계 고등학교 전문교과 교사들의 전문성은 보통보다 약간 높은 수준이다. 전문성 하위영역별로 학습지도, 전문성 향상을 위한 노력, 학생지도 및 학급경영 영역에 대한 수준은 높은 반면, 교육과정 개발 및 운영, 학교운영, 현장실습 지원 및 지역사회와의 연계 영역에 대한 수준은 다소 낮다. 셋째, 실업계 고등학교 전문교과 교사의 전문성은 교사의 발달특성 중 능력구축 특성, 안정화 특성, 실험주의 특성, 재평가 특성, 승진지향 특성과 정적상관관계를 보이며, 생존 특성, 침체 특성과는 부적상관 관계를 보인다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between developmental characteristics and professionalism of specialized subject teachers in vocational high school. A survey questionnaire was developed by researcher, which consisted of teacher developmental characteristics scale, teacher professionalism scale, and personal characteristics items such as school type, gender, age, teaching experience, education level, position, and a route of teaching career. Returned questionnaires were 372(the responding rate of 61.7%) out of 603, of which 372 were used for analysis after data cleaning. The major findings of this study were as follows: 1) specialized subject teachers in vocational high school about ability-building, security, experimentation, and reevaluation were higher than other characteristics. But survival, promotion-directed, declining, and conservation were low than other characteristics. 2) professionalism of teachers was a little more than average. Particularly, teaching professionalism was the highest, and industry & school cooperation and network with community professionalism was the lowest. 3) the relationship between relationship between developmental characteristics and professionalism was found as follows. Developmental characteristics such as ability-building, security, experimentation, reevaluation, and promotion-directed had positive relationship with professionalism. But developmental characteristics such as survival, declining had negative relationship with professionalism.
