국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 농업인들의 농촌지역사회 서비스만족에 영향을 미치는 요소를 도출하는 것이다. 본 연구를 위해 2003년 농촌주민(비농가포함) 1870명을 조사하여 그 중 비농가를 제외하고 난 후 1452명의 농업인을 대상으로 분석하였다. 이 연구를 통하여 밝혀진 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 주거에 대한 만족도는 상대적으로 높았지만 교육과 여가시설에 대한 만족도는 매우 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 지역사회에 불만을 가진 농업인일수록 지역사회 모임에 적극적으로 참여하는 경향을 나타내었다. 셋째, 여성은 남성에 비해 전체적인 서비스 만족도와 주거, 교육에 대한 만족도도 높은 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 복합취업을 하고 있는 농가일수록 전체적인 만족도와 주거, 교육, 대중교통에 대한 만족도가 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 지역사회 만족도를 높이기위해서는 무엇보다도 여가시설과 교육서비스를 향상시키기 위한 정부의 정책적 지원이 필요하다.

영문 초록

The importance of farmer s community satisfaction gets more increasing than ever because rural population could be tremendously decreasing. Our analysis focuses upon farmer s community satisfaction, largely services. Community satisfaction with services has been an integral part generally of the relevant community studies. The study aims to identify the determinants influencing farmer s rural community satisfaction in Korea. The data were collected through interviews with 1452 farmers among 1,870 respondents in 2003. The statistical method hired for this study was the logistic regression. Based on the major findings, the followings were concluded. First whereas farmers are more likely to satisfy with housing services, not less likely to satisfy with education and recreation services. Second, less satisfied farmers are more likely to participate in community meetings. Third women are more likely to satisfy with housing and education services. Fourth it shows that farmer with pluriactivity are less satisfy with housing, education, and transportation services. It has been suggested that central and local governments should provide education and recreation services for farmers to enhance community satisfaction in Korea.
