국문 초록

이 연구는 성격강점 기반 집단상담 프로그램이 초등학생의 회복탄력성에 미치는 영향을 검증하기 위하여 실시하였다. 세종특별자치시에 소재한 B초등학교 5학년 학생을 대상으로 프로그램에 참여하기를 희망하는 22명을 실험집단으로, 참여하지 않는 학생 중 22명을 통제집단으로 선정하였다. 실험집단에는 주 1회 매회 40분씩 총 10회기의 성격강점기반 집단상담 프로그램을 실시하였고 통제집단은 무처치 하였다. 실험처치 후 두 집단 간 회복탄력성의 사전, 사후 검사를 비교 분석하였다. 연구 결과 성격강점기반 집단상담 프로그램은 초등학생의 회복탄력성 및 그 하위요인인 통제성과 긍정성, 사회성 증진에 유의미한 영항을 미쳤다. 이 연구의 결과는 회복탄력성 증진을 위한 성격강점 기반 프로그램의 개입의 가능성을 확인했다는 것과 앞으로 계속될 성격강점과 회복탄력성 간의 관계를 더 깊이 이해하도록 도왔다는 점에서 그 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to verify the influence of character strengths-based group counseling program on the resilience of students in elementary school. 22 students who wanted to participate in the program for the fifth grade of elementary school in Sejongsi were selected as experiment group and 22 of students who did not participate were selected as the control group. In the experimental group, 10 sessions of a character strengths-based group counseling program were administered each week for 40 minutes, and the control group was untreated. After the experimental treatment, the pre- and post- test of resilience between two groups were compared and analyzed. As a result, the group counseling program based on character strengths has a significant effect on the resilience of elementary school students and the subordinate factors such as control, positive, and sociality. The results of this study are significant in that they have identified the possibility of intervention of a character strengths based program for improving resilience and helped to better understand the relationship between character strengths and resilience.
