원효 ‘인식론’의 교육학적 함의

국문 초록

이 글은 「판비량론」에 나타난 원효의 인식론을 검토하는 과정에서, 원효의 인식론이 교육이론을 메타프락시스적으로 해석하는 데에 있어서 결정적인 ‘논거’를 제시할 수 있음을 보이고자 하였다. 보다 구체적으로 말하여, 판비량론 제 8절(증자증분과 자증분 논쟁)을 통해 본각과 시각이 개념적으로 구분될 뿐 사실적으로 분리될 수 없음을 논리적으로 간접 증명했다고 해석하였다. 이를 통해 메타프락시스적 논의가 요구하는 중층구조의 아이디어에서의 위층과 아래층의 ‘순환’이 필연적으로 요청되고, 교육(지식교육)이 삶과 관련하여 어떤 의미를 가지는지를 개념적으로 규정하고자 하였다. 이러한 작업은 곧 칸트의 이율배반론과 비교하여 원효의 삼지작법(논증식)에서의 논증과정이 갖는 의의를 파악하는 것이고, 그 과정에서 드러난 원효의 ‘인식론’으로 말미암아 교육이론으로서의 메타프락시스적 논의에 ‘힘’을 실어줄 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is that Won hyo(元曉) s epistemology will exemplify an educational theory as metapraxis . Specifically, through the eighth paragraph of 「Panbiryang-Ron」(判比量論), I will interpretate that the reality of awakening (本覺) is discriminated from the process of awakening (始覺) in conception, though they are not separate in fact in educational discussion. This interpretation is based on logical evidence in Won hyo s epistemology. Won hyo s discussion bears a close parallel to the discourse of metapraxis which focuses upon the rotation of reality and experience in epistemology. This view is cleared through that Won hyo s demonstration in epistemology could be compared with Kant s antinomy. Won hyo s demonstration in epistemology is the dispute of alaya-vijnana(阿賴耶識) in our consciousness system. As well, this is the core of dispute in Vijnaptimatrata(唯識學). The series of these demonstrations are related to educational theory as metapraxis. Therefore, I expect that this process will force the discourse of ‘metapraxis’.
