국제탄력성척도 요인분석 및 타당화 검증

국문 초록

본 연구는 국제탄력성 체크리스트의 요인구조를 파악하고 한국 아동들에게도 타당한지를 파악할 목적으로 수행되었다. 2009년 12월 1일부터 12월 24일까지 설문을 실시하였고 최종 연구대상은 대구광역시 수성구, 남구, 서구 소재의 초등학교 3개교와 경상북도 소재의 초등학교 2개교의 4-6학년 남녀 아동 총 551명이었다. 이 척도의 요인구조를 파악하기 위해 탐색적 요인분석을 실시한 결과 2개의 하위요인(자신과 미래에 대한 믿음, 사회적 기술)이 있는 것으로 나타났고 확인적 요인분석을 실시한 결과 이 척도가 자료에 잘 부합하는 것으로 나타나 구성타당도가 확인되었다. 또한 표준화 요인계수가 모두 적절하게 나타나 각각의 문항이 이 두 가지 하위요인을 잘 반영하고 있으며 잠재변수의 적절한 지표(indicator)임이 확인되었다. 수렴타당도 및 판별타당도를 파악하기 위해 학교적응 및 공격성 척도와의 상관관계를 분석한 결과 학교적응 척도와는 .79정도의 높은 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났고 공격성과는 -.20정도의 매우 낮은 부적상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타나 수렴타당도 및 판별타당도가 있음이 확인되었다. 이와 같은 결과를 볼 때 국제탄력성척도는 신뢰도와 타당도가 있는 것으로 판단되므로 한국 아동들의 탄력성 측정도구로 활용되기에 적합하다고 볼 수 있다.

영문 초록

This study investigated the factor structure and psychometric properties of the Korean version of International Resilience Project checklist for resilience. The subjects comprised 551 elementary school students living in Daegu and its suburb areas in Korea(284 boys and 267 girls, from the 4th graders to the 6th graders). International Resilience Project checklist for resilience(Grotberg, 1997) was used to measure the degree to which children are resilient despite the adversity. This scale is composed of 15 items and was originally developed 3-point Likert scale ranging from 1(no resilience) to 3(a response of resilience). Seven iterations of an Exploratory Factor Analysis were conducted on data to identify items for inclusion in the Korean version of International Resilience Project checklist for resilience. In the 7th analysis, an oblimin rotated factor analysis of the 15 items resulted in a two-factor solution, with 15 of the items loading well(factor loadings≥30). Confirmatory factor analysis was then conducted on the sample to validate the factor structure with two factors. The resilienc scores demonstrated expected positive correlation with School adjustment(r=.79) and negative correlation with aggression(r=.-20). The Korean version of International Resilience Project checklist for resilience has been shown to be a reliable and valid measurement in assessing resilience among Korean children.
