청소년 문제행동과 부정적 또래관계의 상호영향관계 : 부모 양육태도 수준에 따른 다집단 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 부모의 지도감독과 애정적이고 합리적인 양육태도가 청소년기의 대표적 문제인 부정적 또래관계와 청소년 문제행동 간의 상호 부정적 영향관계를 완화시킬 수 있는지 분석하였다. 이를 위해 한국아동청소년패널 초 4패널 조사에 참여한 청소년 1,185 명의 중학교 1학년(2013)부터 고등학교 1학년(2016) 자료를 분석하였다. 분석에는다집단 자기회귀 교차지연모델이 사용되었다. 분석결과, 부모 양육태도 상위집단(533 명)의 경우, 중학교 1학년과 2학년 시기의 또래의 영향효과와 선택효과가 모두 유의미하지 않았으며, 중학교 2학년의 부정적 또래관계는 1년 뒤 청소년의 문제행동을 예측하지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 반면, 양육태도 하위집단에서는 또래의 영향효과와 선택효과가 모두 통계적으로 유의미하였다. 또한 중학교 1학년과 2학년의 청소년 문제행동 간관계도 양육태도 상위집단에서 더 약하게 나타나는 것으로 분석되었다. 이러한 결과는부모의 지도감독과 애정적이고 합리적인 양육태도는 자녀를 또래가 미치는 부정적 영향으로부터 보호하는 조절효과가 있음을 시사하는 것이다. 연구결과에 따른 청소년 문제행동 예방을 위한 사회복지의 실천적 함의를 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This study examined the longitudinal relationship between antisocial peers and youth problem behavior and the moderating role of positive parenting in mitigating this relationship. The analysis sample consisted of 1,185 students who participated in the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey from the 7th through 10th grade(2013-2016). Analyses were conducted using Multiple-group Cross-Lagged Model. For youth in the high parenting group, antisocial peers in 7th and 8th grades showed neither the peer influence effect nor the peer selection effect, and the association with antisocial peers in the 8th grade did not predict the risk of youth problem behavior one year later after accounting other variables in the model. On the contrary, both of the peer influence and selection effects were significant among youth from the low parenting group. In addition, the magnitude of the relationship between youth problem behavior in the 7th and 8th grades was weaker among youth from the high group, compared to those in the low group. Findings indicated a significant moderating role of positive parenting in protecting their youth from antisocial peer influences. Implications for the social work practice to prevent youth problem behavior are discussed.
