국문 초록

본 연구는 영아기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 개인적 변인에 따른 어린이집 선택 요인과 이용만족도의 차이를 파악하고 이들 간의 관계를 알아보았다. 연구 대상은 서울시와 경기도에 소재한 어린이집을 이용하는 영아기 자녀를 둔 어머니 351명이며, 수집된 자료는 빈도분석, 백분율, t검정과 일원분산분석(one-way ANOVA), Scheffé의 사후검정을 사용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 어머니들은 어린이집을 선택할 때 인적 환경 요인을 가장 중요하게 고려하였으며 이는 어머니의 연령과 월소득에 따라 차이가 있었으나 학력, 취업 여부에 따른 차이가 없었다. 둘째, 어린이집에 대한 이용만족도는 높았으며 그중에서 가정어린이집의 이용만족도가 가장 높았다. 이는 어머니의 월소득과 어린이집 유형에 따라 차이가 있었으나 학력, 취업 여부에 따른 차이는 없었다. 셋째, 어린이집을 결정할 때 다양한 선택 요인을 중요하게 고려할수록 이용만족도는 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 보육의 질 향상을 위한 노력과 실천 과정에서 어머니의 어린이집 선택 요인을 파악하고 이용만족도를 높이기 위한 실제적 자료를 제시했다는 측면에서 의의를 갖는다.

영문 초록

This study investigated the difference in the selection factors and satisfaction by the individual variables of the mothers who sent their children to infant child-care centers, and the relationship between the selection factors and satisfaction. The subjects of the study were 351 mothers with infants using child-care centers in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. The collected data were analyzed using frequency analysis, percentages, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Scheffé post hoc test. The result of the study are as follows. First, when the mothers chose the child-care centers, the human environmental factor was considered to be the most important. Second, the utilization satisfaction was high, and home child-care center satisfaction was the highest among the subvariables. Thirdly, the more factors the mothers considered when they chose their child-care centers, the more they were satisfied with the centers. These results are significant in that it provided practical data for understanding the factors of mothers’child-care center selection and increasing their satisfaction with the centers in order to improve the quality of child-care.
