자연유치원 만 5세 학급의 이야기나누기 활동에 대한 사례연구

국문 초록

본 사례연구는 자연유치원 만 5세 샘물반에서 이루어지는 이야기나누기 활동의 내용과 교사가 사용하는 이야기나누기 활동의 전략을 고찰했다. 참여자는 유아 25명과 교사 1명이며 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 이야기나누기 활동의 내용은 의사소통방법 알기, 개념 학습하기, 생각을 공유하는 방법 알기, 공동체 생활 이해하기, 상상 즐기고 나누기, 나의 소중함 인식하기로 나타났다. 둘째, 교사가 사용하는 이야기나누기 활동의 전략을 도입 단계, 전개 단계, 마무리 단계로 나누어 살펴보면, 도입 단계에서 교사가 사용하는 전략은 유아들의 자리배치 돕기, 유아들의 경험 이끌어내기, 지난 활동 회상하기로 나타났다. 전개 단계에서 교사가 사용한 전략은 맥락적 신호 보내기, 유아의 반응 활용하기, 이야기나누기 활동에 적절한 태도 알려주기, 비계설정하기, 유아들의 참여 격려하기로 나타났다. 마무리 단계에서 교사가 사용하는 전략은 다음 이야기나누기 활동 소개하기, 확장 활동 안내하기로 나타났다. 유아교육기관에서 실행되는 이야기나누기 활동의 질을 향상시키기 위해서는 이야기나누기 활동의 특성과 효과적인 교수전략에 대한 보다 심층적 연구가 이루어져야 한다.

영문 초록

This case study aims to investigate the contents of a group talk activity and the teaching strategies used by the teacher of a 5-year-old classroom at Jayeon Kindergarten. This study was conducted with one teacher and 25 children. Data was collected through participating observations and in-depth interviews. Findings are as follows. First, as for the contents of group talk activities, it showed knowing how to communicate with, learning a concept, knowing how to share thoughts, understanding a life of a community, enjoying and sharing imagination, and knowing preciousness of oneself. Second, the strategies used at the introduction phase included helping children with seating arrangement, deriving their experience and recalling the past group talk activity. Strategies at the development phase contained sending a contextual sign, using children’s reaction, informing them of adequate attitudes, scaffolding and prompting their participation. Strategies at the ending phase contained introducing next group talk activity and an expansion activity. More studies on the nature and the task of a group talk activity are needed to improve the quality of a group talk activity.
