국문 초록

니체는 근대 철학자들의 일반적인 글쓰기 방식을 거부하고, 언어의 다양한표현 가능성을 자신의 글에 반영한 철학자이다. 그의 문체는 16세기 이후 정립되어 온 학술적 글쓰기 규범에서 벗어나 다채로운 언어 사용을 다시 도입하려했다는 점에서 의의를 갖는다. 그의 글쓰기는 수사학을 폄하해 온 ‘플라톤의 그림자’로부터 벗어나 학술적 글쓰기에 ‘은유’의 자리를 새롭게 마련한다. 니체에게 세계란 불변하는 실체가 아니라 무한히 변화하는 생성이기 때문에, 세계를있는 그대로 묘사하기 위해 그가 선택한 최적의 방법은 개념적 사유의 체계가아니라 문학적 은유와 해석의 다양성이다. 이러한 인식이야말로 그가 새로운글쓰기 방식을 시도했던 진정한 이유라고 볼 수 있다. 물론 개념적 사유에 적합한 체계적인 글쓰기의 중요성은 여전하다. 그러나 자유로운 문체와 열린 해석의 가능성을 지닌 글쓰기 또한 나름의 장점을 갖는다. 후자는 우리를 개념적 사유의 틀에 가두지 않고 창의적 사유를 자극한다는 점에서 교육적 의의가 크다. 우리는 언어를 통해 사유하고 행동하기 때문에 언어를 다양하게 사용하는 법을 익히는 것은 매우 중요하다. 특히 자기만의 언어사용법을 터득하는 것은 창의적 사유를 위한 가장 중요한 토대이다. 이러한 토대를 갖춘 자는 타인의 지도없이도 자기 스스로를 교육하는 법을 깨달을 수 있으며, 이는 진정한 계몽을 이룬 교양인의 핵심 자질이다.

영문 초록

Nietzsche, a philosopher, rejected the conventional writing styles of modern philosophers, opting instead to incorporate the diverse expressive possibilities of language into his own works. His style is significant because it sought to reintroduce diverse linguistic usage, departing from the academic writing norms established since the 16th century. His writing transcends the ‘shadow of Plato’―a critic of rhetoric―thereby creating a new space for metaphor within academic discourse. For Nietzsche, the world is not an unchanging substance but an infinitely changing process of becoming. Therefore, the optimal method he chose to describe the world as it truly is was not a system of conceptual thought, but rather literary metaphor and the plurality of interpretations. This recognition can be seen as the true reason he attempted a new writing style. While the importance of systematic writing suitable for conceptual thought remains, writing that possesses a free style and the possibility of open interpretation also offers its own distinct advantages. The latter holds significant educational value by stimulating creative thought without confining us to the framework of conceptual thinking. Since we think and act through language, it is crucial to learn how to use language in diverse ways. Specifically, mastering one’s unique method of language use is the most fundamental foundation for creative thought. An individual possessing such a foundation can realize how to educate themselves without the guidance of others, which is a core quality of a cultivated person who has achieved true enlightenment.
