국문 초록

The purpose of this study is to understand local residents' perceptions of weather hazard and their behavioral intentions to support climate change prevention. To achieve these objectives, a survey was conducted among local residents in Quang Binh province, Vietnam. A total of 184 questionnaires were collected and the results were analyzed using SPSS. The results show that, first, local residents perceive that weather hazards is currently occurring, and in particular, they reported an increase in floods and storms. In preparation for this, they are paying more attention to afforest and cattle raising. Second, the more local people recognize weather hazards, the greater the impact on both their daily lives and tourism industry. Finally, local people intent to act for the environment when they perceive their life influences by weather hazards. The findings of this study are likely to provide useful insights into the complex connection between environmental risk perception and tourism.
