본 연구의 목적은 인문학과 웰에이징의 개념 비교를 통해 서로 무관하게 여겨졌던 두 영역이 결합할 수 있음을 밝히는 것이다. 이를 위해 동서양의 웰에이징 관련 개념을 비교 연구하여 한국형 웰에이징 개념을 정립하고 인문학과 웰에이징의 접합점을 찾으려 했다. 특히 인문학과 웰에이징은 공통적으로 인간을 인간답게 만들어주는 데 노력하기 때문에 두 영역의 상동성(相同性)에 주목하여 본 연구를 수행하였다. 연구 결과 성공적 노화를 위한 학문 영역에서는 예술체육학과 복합학이 핵심이었다. 상기 영역을 포괄하고 통합하면 한국형 웰에이징의 주된 영역을 획득하게 된다. 한국형 웰에이징은 복합학, 인문학, 예술체육학 등의 영역에 집중되어 있기 때문이다. 또한 정신 건강을 위해 문학, 역사, 철학, 종교 등에 집중할 필요가 있다. 사회적 건강을 위해서는 삶, 죽음, 여가활동, 변화, 성찰 등을 융복합 관점에서 보아야 한다. 이상의 노력이 합쳐질 때 한국 사회는 삶의 질이 높아지고 웰에이징과 웰다잉을 실천하게 될 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to reveal the relationship between the humanities and well-aging. We will pay attention to the humanities and well-aging, which make humans human, and reveal the fact that two areas that were considered unrelated to each other can be combined. To this end, we will compare and study concepts related to well-aging in the East and the West to establish a Korean-style well-aging concept and find a junction between the humanities and well-aging. As a result of the study, arts and physical education and complex studies were the key areas for successful aging. Comprehensive and integrating the above areas will acquire the main areas of Korean well-aging. This is because Korean well-aging is concentrated in areas such as complex studies, humanities, and arts and physical education. You also need to focus on literature, history, philosophy, and religion for your mental health. For social health, life, death, leisure activities, change, and reflection must be viewed from a convergence point of view. If the above efforts are combined, Korean society will improve the quality of life and practice well-aging and well-dying.
