성별과 연령에 따른 좋은 죽음에 대한 태도 차이 연구

국문 초록

이 연구는 성별, 연령에 따른 좋은 죽음에 대한 태도의 차이를 분석하여 맞춤형 죽음 교육을 제안하고 성별, 연령에 따른 교육 및 정책개발 기초자료로 제공하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 좋은 죽음에 대한 태도의 평균과 표준편차, 그리고 성별·연령에 따른 카이제곱 검정, 로지스틱 회귀분석을 적용하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 성별에 따른 좋은 죽음에 대한 태도의 차이는 학력(p<0.01), 직업(p<0.001), 종교 유무(p<0.001), 혼인상태(p<0.01), 죽음 표현 2(p<0.001), 죽음 생각(p<0.001) 등이 유의한 차이가 있었으며 둘째, 연령에 따른 좋은 죽음에 대한 태도의 차이는 학력(p<0.001), 소득수준(p<0.001), 직업분류(p<0.001), 자녀 수(p<0.001), 도시별(p<0.01), 죽음 표현 1, 죽음 표현 7에 유의한 차이가 있었다. 그러므로 인간의 숙명인 죽음을 불안이나 두려움으로 기피하거나 거부하는 것이 아니라 준비를 통해 좋은 죽음으로 수용해 갈 수 있도록 성별, 연령에 따른 맞춤형 교육방안들이 요구된다.

영문 초록

This study proposes customized death education by analyzing the differences in the attitudes toward a good death stratified by gender and age. It aims to develop and provide education and policies according to gender and age. The mean and standard deviation of the individual's attitudes toward a good death were reported, and chi-square test and logistic regression analysis were used to determine if there were significant differences by gender and age groups. The results show that there were significant differences in the attitude toward a good death according to gender in educational attainment (p<0.01), occupation (p<0.001), religious status (p<0.001), marital status (p<0.01), and death expression 2(p<0.001). 0.001) and thoughts of death (p<0.001) were significantly different. On the other hand, differences in attitude toward a good death according to age were found in educational attainment (p<0.001), income level (p<0.001), and occupational classification (p<0.001). 0.001), number of children (p<0.001), city (p<0.01), death expression 1, death expression 7. We need customized measures according to gender and age that can positively cope with death, which is human fate, through preparation rather than avoiding or rejecting it with anxiety or fear.
