국문 초록

The rapid development of artificial intelligence technology in recent years has revolutionized not only the entire industry but also the defense sector. Major countries around the world are competitively pursuing the acquisition of unmanned systems incorporating AI technology, and we are witnessing the situation through the war in Ukraine. South Korea's Ministry of National Defense has established the 'Defense Innovation 4.0 Basic Plan' and is promoting the 'AI-based Manned and Unmanned Teaming(MUM-T) system implementation' to foster robust armed forces of AI science and technology. This study examines the domestic and foreign policy trends and adoption cases of AI and MUM-T policies being promoted in the defense field, analyzes the current status of the domestic promotion, and suggests future directions by the field. In this study, it is expected to contribute to the introduction of defense AI and MUM-T systems and the development of related technologies.
