고시사 예술가곡 분석을 통한 중국과 서양 음악 융합 사례 연구

국문 초록

본 논문은 중국 근현대 음악사의 한 획을 그은 고시사 예술가곡의 발생과 변화 의 궤적을 현대적 고시사 예술가곡의 선구자인 청주가 작곡한 ‘큰 강은 동쪽으로 흐른다’를 분석하여 중국과 서양 음악의 융합 방식을 살펴보고자하였다. 연구 결 과, 이 작품이 가진 중국 음악적 특징은 중국의 오성 음계를 사용하였했고, 고시사 의 음운 법칙을 따랐으며, 고양기강, 의미행강과 같이 중국 음악 창작 방식을 활용 하였다. 그리고 서양 창작 기법을 활용한 부분은 슈베르트와 볼프, 드뷔시, 바그너 등의 음악에서 영향을 받았고, 서양의 조성, 음계, 리듬, 박자, 형식, 화성 등의 음악 요소를 활용하였으며, 바그너의 음악극에서 볼 수 있는 무한 선율, 라이트 모티브 등과 같은 요소를 발견할 수 있었다. 그리고 유럽의 유물론과 표현주의의 가치를 결합하였다. 연구 결과, ‘큰 강은 동쪽으로 흐른다’는 고시사 예술가곡이 어떻게 중국의 전통성과 서양 음악의 현대성이 공존할 수 있는지를 보여주는 상징적인 작품 이며, 이러한 음악적 융합은 향후 중국 예술가곡의 발전에 중요한 방향성을 제시해 줄 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

This thesis discusses the emergence and development process of ancient poetry art songs in the history of modern and contemporary Chinese music, analyzes “The Great River Flows East” composed by Qing Zhu(青主), the pioneer of modern ancient poetry art songs, and discusses the integration methods of Chinese and Western music. The research also found that this musical work possesses the characteristics of the pentatonic scale of traditional Chinese music and also follows the phonological rules of ancient poetry. At the same time, it also employs Chinese musical composition methods such as “High take-off and landing” and “Sing according to the connotation”. The Western creative techniques employed were partly influenced by the music of Schubert, Wolff, Debussy and Wagner, and also incorporated Western musical elements such as tonality, scale, rhythm, tempo, form and harmony. Elements such as the endless melodies and light motive in Wagner’s musicals were also discovered. It also combines the values of European materialism and expressionism. The research results show that “The Great River Flows East” is a landmark musical work that demonstrates how the traditional nature of China and the modernity of Western music coexist. The integration of these two kinds of music provides an important direction for the development of art songs in China in the future.
