국문 초록

본 연구는 장애 담론을 포스트휴먼적 관점에서 재구성하여 기존의 이항대립적 사고를 해체하고, 장애를 다차원적이고 관계적인 현상으로 이해하는 새로운 틀을 제시하고자 한다. 기존의 의료적 모델과 사회적 모델은 장애를 결핍이나 사회적 배제의 결과로 간주하며, 정상성과 비정상성의 위계적 구도를 고착화했다. 이러한 접근은 장애인의 주체성과 정체성을 제한하고, 사회적 불평등을 정당화하는 데 기여해왔다. 포스트휴먼 패러다임은 인간 중심적 사고에서 벗어나 기술, 환경, 비인간적 요소 간의 상호작용을 강조하며, 장애를 고정된 상태가 아닌 유동적이고 관계적인 존재로 재구성할 가능성을 제시한다. 데리다의 차연(différance), 푸코의 에피스테메(épisteme), 들뢰즈와 가타리의 리좀(rhizome) 개념은 장애를 고정된 의미로 보는 관점에서 벗어나, 다양한 맥락 속에서 변화하는 관계적 존재로 이해하는 데 이론적 기반을 제공한다. 본 연구는 포스트구조주의와 포스트휴먼적 관점을 통해 장애를 기술적, 환경적, 사회적 맥락 속에서 다층적이고 유동적인 현상으로 재구성한다. 이를 통해 장애인의 권리 보장과 포괄적 사회 구축을 위한 정책적, 실천적 가능성을 탐구하며, 장애를 결핍의 대상으로 간주하는 기존의 시각에서 벗어나 새로운 정체성과 가능성을 창출하는 계기를 제공하고자 한다.

영문 초록

This study reconstructs disability discourse from a posthuman perspective, aiming to deconstruct binary oppositions and propose a new framework for understanding disability as a multidimensional and relational phenomenon. Traditional models, such as the medical and social models, have framed disability as a deficit or the result of social exclusion, reinforcing hierarchical dichotomies between normality and abnormality. These approaches have limited the subjectivity and identity of individuals with disabilities and contributed to the perpetuation of social inequality. The posthuman paradigm moves beyond anthropocentric thinking, emphasizing the interplay between technology, environment, and non-human elements, and offers a way to reframe disability as fluid and relational rather than fixed. Concepts such as Derrida’s différance, Foucault’s épisteme, and Deleuze and Guattari’s rhizome provide a theoretical foundation for understanding disability not as a static condition but as a dynamic and context-dependent relational existence. This study utilizes poststructuralist and posthuman perspectives to reframe disability within technological, environmental, and social contexts as a complex and fluid phenomenon. It explores the policy and practical implications for ensuring the rights of individuals with disabilities and fostering an inclusive society. By moving beyond the conventional view of disability as a deficit, this research seeks to generate new identities and possibilities for individuals with disabilities.
