국문 초록

칼 라너의 ‘익명의 그리스도인’ 개념은 분열과 갈등이 끊이지 않는 현대사회에 큰 빛을 던지고 있다. 이는 비록 그리스도인의 범주 속에 있지는 않지만, 동일한 도덕적 가치와 이념을 공유하는 비-그리스도인들도 동일한 구원에 대한 희망을 가질 수 있음을 말해주기 때문이다. 라너에게 이러한 개념이 가능한 근거는 인간 실존이 가지는 ‘초월성’과 ‘신적 은총의 보편성’에 의해서이다. 인간은 그 존재론적인 구조로 인해 ① 초월을 추구하는 인간이며, ② 이러한 추구는 신적 은총에 대한 암묵적인 믿음을 의미하며, 나아가 ③ 인간 그 자체가 신의 암호로서 누구나 깊은 형이상학적 체험에서 신적인 체험을 하기때문이다. 이러한 익명의 그리스도인 개념은 ‘분열’과 ‘갈등’을 일상으로 체험하는 현대 문화에서 자문화 중심주의를 극복하고 열림과 화해 그리고 소통과 일치를 가져오는 매우 긍정적인 관점을 제공한다고 할 수 있다. 나아가 하느님은 모든 인간이 구원되기를 바라신다는 ‘보편 구원론’에 대한 희망을 제공하며, 믿는 이들로 하여금 나는 ‘진정한 그리스도인의 척도’를 제공할 수 있는 ‘참된 그리스도인인가?’하는 윤리 도덕적 차원의 ‘자기성찰의 계기’를 마련하고 있다.

영문 초록

Father Karl Rahner’s concept of ‘anonymous Christians’ sheds great light on modern society, which is constantly divided and conflicted. This is because it tells us that non-Christians who share the same moral values and ideology, although not within the category of Christians, can also have the same hope for salvation. For Father Rahner, the basis for this concept is the ‘transcendence’ of human existence and the ‘universality of divine grace.’ Due to their ontological structure, humans are ① humans who pursue transcendence, ② this pursuit implies an implicit belief in divine grace, and ③ humans themselves are the code of God, so everyone experiences the divine in deep metaphysical experiences. This concept of anonymous Christians can be said to provide a very positive perspective that overcomes ethnocentrism and brings about openness, reconciliation, communication, and unity in modern culture, which experiences ‘division’ and ‘conflict’ as daily life, and brings about openness, reconciliation, communication, and unity. Furthermore, it provides hope for the ‘universal salvation theory’ that God desires the salvation of all mankind, and it provides believers with an ‘opportunity for self-reflection’ on an ethical and moral level by asking themselves, ‘Am I a true Christian?’, which can provide a ‘standard for a true Christian’.
