국문 초록

본 연구는 지속가능발전교육에 기반한 자원재활용교육 프로그램을 개발하여, 유아들이 일상생활에서 실천 가능한 환경보전지식과 환경보전태도를 증진시키고, 이러한 지식과 태도가 효과성 검증하는데 목적이 있다. 또한, 본 프로그램이 유아들의 환경보전지식과 환경보전태도에 미치는 효과성을 검증하였다. 연구 대상은 K시에 소재한 C 유치원 만 5세 2반의 유아들로, 지속가능발전교육에 기반한 자원재활용교육 프로그램을 적용한 실험집단 21명과 2019개정 누리과정에 기반한 활동을 진행한 비교집단 20명이다. 분석 결과, 유아의 환경보전지식과 환경보전태도를 비교한 공분산 분석에서, 실험집단의 평균이 비교집단의 평균보다 유의미하게 높게 나타났다. 본 연구 결과를 현장에 적용하고 후속 연구에 도움이 되고자 다음과 같이 제언한다. 첫째, 본 연구는 유아의 환경보전지식과 태도에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 변인들을 완벽하게 통제할 수 없으므로, 후속 연구에서는 다양한 변인들을 고려하고, 여러 지역과 연령대의 유아들을 대상으로 한 비교 연구가 필요하다. 둘째, 본 연구는 유아의 환경보전지식과 태도 증진에 중점을 두었으나, 후속 연구에서는 지속가능발전교육에 기반한 자원재활용교육의 다양한 접근 방법을 모색하고, 이를 활성화할 방안을 연구할 필요가 있다. 이러한 후속 연구는 지속 가능한 교육과정 개발에 중요한 기초 자료가 될 것이다.

영문 초록

This study aims to develop a resource recycling education program based on sustainable development education to promote environmental conservation knowledge and environmental conservation attitudes that can be practiced in children's daily lives and to ensure that such knowledge and attitudes are maintained continuously. In addition, the effectiveness of this program on children's environmental conservation knowledge and environmental conservation attitudes was verified. The subjects of the study were children in Class 2 of Kindergarten C located in K City, 5 years old. The experimental group consisted of 21 children who applied the resource recycling education program based on sustainable development education and the comparison group consisted of 20 children who participated in activities based on the 2019 revised Nuri curriculum. As a result of the analysis, the mean of the experimental group was significantly higher than the mean of the comparison group in the covariance analysis comparing children's environmental conservation knowledge and environmental conservation attitudes. In order to apply the results of this study to the field and to help with follow-up research, the following suggestions are made. First, since this study could not completely control the variables that could affect the environmental conservation knowledge and attitudes of young children, follow-up studies should consider various variables and conduct comparative studies targeting young children of various regions and ages. Second, although this study focused on improving young children’s environmental conservation knowledge and attitudes, follow-up studies should seek various approaches to resource recycling education based on sustainable development education and study ways to activate them. Such follow-up studies will be important basic data for the development of sustainable education curricula.
