성인 자폐인을 위한 심리운동 기반 말매개치료 사례연구

국문 초록

이 연구는 단일사례분석을 통해 중증자폐스펙트럼장애를 가진 성인을 대상으로 한 심리운동 기반 말매개치료인 말과 함께하는 심리운동‘PMP’의 과정과 효과를 분석하였다. 분석 결과 내담자는 ‘타자에게 다가감과 소통시작, 우리는 하나가 되다, 너와 나 그리고 우리’로 상징화되는 과정을 거쳐 다음과 같은 변화를 나타냈다. 첫째 과민한 감각을 조절 통합하여 자세와 표정 및 신체 움직임에서 긍정적 변화가 관찰되었다. 둘째 프로그램 진행 과정에서의 비언어적 소통과 교감의 증가를 통해 정서적으로 안정되며 자신의 감정과 욕구를 구체적으로 표현하고 자신감이 향상되었다. 셋째 종결단계에 이르러 내담자는 조용히 눈물을 흘리며 고립된 자신의 내면에 누적되어 온 외로움과 아픔을 방출하면서 치료경험이 이뤄졌다. PMP 프로그램 과정에서 이러한 내담자의 변화는 프로그램에 참여한 치료사, 기관의 담당자에게 공감되고, 연구 참여자에 대한 이해와 신뢰를 증진시켰다. 이 사례연구는 말과 인간이 함께 아름다운 움직임의 흐름(Bewegunflow)을 만들어 내면서 발달과 치료가 이뤄지는 새로운 말매개치료의 융합적 접근인 말과 함께하는 심리운동이 성인 자폐스펙트럼장애인에게 어떠한 변화를 나타냈는지를 국내 최초로 분석했다는 점에서 의미가 있다.

영문 초록

This study analyzed the process and effect of EAT(Equine Assisted Therapy) based on Psychomotorik(below Psychomotorik mit dem Pferd, PMP) for adult with severe autism spectrum disordesr, through a single case analysis. As a result of the analysis, the client went through the process of symbolizing ‘approaching others and starting communication, we become one, ‘I-Thou-Us’ and showed the following changes. First, positive changes were observed in posture, facial expression, and somatic movements by regulating and integrating hypersensitive sensations. Second, through the increase in nonverbal communication and empathy during the program, client became more emotionally stable, were able to express her feelings and desires more specifically, and her self-confidence improved. Third, at the end of stage, the client quietly shed tears and released out of the loneliness and pains that had accumulated in her isolated inner self and the therapeutic experience was achieved. These changes in the client that occurred during the PMP program were sympathized with by the therapists and support staff of the institution who participated in the program, and increased understanding and trust in the research participants. This case study is significant in that it is the first in Korea to analyze the changes that psychomotorik with horses, a new integrated approach to Equine Assisted Therapy in which development and treatment occur through the creation of a beautiful flow of movement (Bewegunflow) between horses and humans, brought about in an adult with autism spectrum disorder.
