국문 초록

본연구는 스마트 컨테이너 도입이 항만성과에 미치는 영향을 체계적으로 분석하고, 항만에서 스마트 컨테이너의 전략적 운영 방향을 제시하고자 하였다. DEMATEL 기법을 활용해 항만 운영, 안전, 보안, 친환경 등 네 가지 최상위 지표와 여덟 개 하위 지표 간의 인과관계를 전문가 평가를 통해 도출하였다. 분석 결과, 항만 안전과 항만 보안은 다른 지표에 영향을 주는 원인지표로, 항만운영과 항만 친환경은 영향을 받는 결과지표로 나타났다. 특히, 하위 지표 분석에서는 운송수단 운영관리(항만 친환경)와 운송수단 운영관리(항만 운영)가 가장 높은 중요도를 가지는 것으로 나타났는데 이는 스마트 컨테이너 도입으로 인해 항만에서 상기 지표의 효용성이 가장 높을 것이라고 평가한 동시에 항만의 운영 효율성 향상과 친환경 항만 구축을 위한 핵심 요소임을 의미한다. 따라서, 항만에서 스마트 컨테이너 활용 효과를 극대화하기 위해서는 항만 안전 및 보안 수준 향상(원인지표)이 선행되어야 함을 시사한다.

영문 초록

This study analyzed the impact of smart container adoption on port performance and aimed to provide strategic directions for their operation in container ports. Using the DEMATEL method, this study identified causal relationships among four key performance areas—port operations, safety, security, and environmental sustainability—along with eight associated sub-indicators, based on expert evaluations. The analysis revealed that port safety and security function as causal indicators influencing others, while port operations and environmental sustainability were classified as effect indicators. Notably, “transportation operations management” (under both port operations and environmental sustainability) was identified as the most critical sub-indicator. This suggests that these indicators are expected to benefit the most from the adoption of smart containers, highlighting their roles as key factors in improving operational efficiency and enhancing the sustainability of ports. These findings suggest that, in order to maximize the effectiveness of smart containers in ports, enhancements in safety and security (the causal indicators) must be prioritized.
