예비교사들의 교과서 과제 분석 및 변형을 통한 모델링 실행: 제도적 제약의 의식과 극복

국문 초록

생태학적 관점에서는 교사의 수업 준비를 단순히 가르칠 지식과 과정을 주어진 수업 환경에 적응시키는 것이 아니라, 생태계 엔지니어로서 지식과 과정이 정착하고 생존할 수 있도록 수업 환경을 변화시키는 양방향 과정으로 본다. 본 연구는 이러한 생태학적 관점을 바탕으로, 예비교사를 대상으로 모델링을 가르치기 위한 교수학습 활동을 설계하고 실행하였다. 특히, Barquero et al. (2013)이 제기한 응용주의･기념비주의･보호주의･ 개인주의와 같은 모델링 실행을 방해하는 제도적 제약들을 의식하고 극복할 수 있는 기회를 제공하였다. 예비교사들의 성찰저널에 대한 주제 분석 결과, 응용주의･기념비주의･보호주의와 관련하여 예비교사들이 수학 교수학습과 과제에 대한 어떤 구체적 기대와 규범을 의식하는지를 확인할 수 있었다. 또한, 예비교사들이 과제 변형과 수업 실연에서 극복한 제도적 제약의 측면과 극복하지 못한 측면을 분석하였다.

영문 초록

The ecological perspective views preparing mathematics for teaching not merely as a one-sided adaptation of knowledge and processes to a given didactic environment but as a reciprocal modification of both the knowledge and its environment, akin to the role of an ecosystem engineer. Grounded in this perspective, we designed and implemented teaching and learning activities to enhance preservice teachers' competency in teaching mathematical modeling while addressing institutional constraints such as applicationism, monumentalism, protectionism, and individualism, as identified by Barquero et al. (2013). A thematic analysis of preservice teachers' reflective journal responses revealed how these institutional constraints manifested as specific expectations or norms regarding mathematical tasks and teaching and learning practices. Furthermore, we examined which aspects of these institutional constraints preservice teachers were able to overcome and which remained challenging when modifying and implementing textbook tasks.
