국문 초록

공급망 관리는 기업의 경쟁력과 지속가능성을 결정짓는 핵심 요소로, 특히 스마트 기술의 발전과 함께 그 중요성이 더욱부각되고 있다. 그러나 기존 연구는 주로 기술적 발전이나 개별 공급망 성능 개선에 초점을 맞추어, 스마트제조 기술이공급망 전반과 지속가능성에 미치는 영향을 종합적으로 다루지 못한 한계를 보인다. 본 연구는 이러한 연구적 공백을 메우고자, 스마트제조 기술 수준이 공급망 역량과 기업 지속가능성에 미치는 영향을 통합적으로 분석하였다. 이를 위해 스마트 기술을 도입했거나 도입할 계획이 있는 국내 중소기업 190개를 대상으로 데이터를 수집하였으며, 공급망 역량을 내부 유연성과 외부 협업이라는 두 가지 주요 요소로 나누어 심층적으로 살펴보았다. 연구 결과, 스마트제조 수준은 공급망 역량과 기업 지속가능성에 모두 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 스마트제조 수준이 공급망 역량을 통해 기업 지속가능성에 미치는 매개 효과가 확인되었으며, 내부 유연성과 외부 협업간의 상호작용이 통합적으로 작용할 때 스마트제조가 지속가능성에 미치는 영향이 더욱 강화되는 것으로 분석되었다. 이러한 연구 결과는 공급망 관리 전략과 스마트 기술 활용 방안에 대한 실질적 시사점을 제공한다. 특히, 중소기업이 스마트제조 기술을 효과적으로 도입하고, 이를 통해 지속가능한 공급망 역량을 강화하는 방안을 제시한다는 점에서 학문적, 실무적 의의를 갖는다. 나아가, 기업들이 내부 유연성과 외부 협업의 균형을 맞추며 스마트제조 기술을 통합적으로 활용할 때, 지속가능성을 효과적으로 촉진할 수 있음을 보여준다. 본 연구는 스마트제조 기술이 공급망 전반에 걸쳐 지속가능성을 증진하는 메커니즘을 구체적으로 제시함으로써, 공급망관리와 지속가능성 간의 상호작용에 대한 이해를 확장하고자 한다.

영문 초록

Supply chain management (SCM) is essential for corporate competitiveness and sustainability, particularly with the rise of smart technologies. However, existing studies often focus on technological advancements or individual supply chain performance, overlooking the broader impact of smart manufacturing on sustainability. This study investigates how smart manufacturing levels influence supply chain capabilities and corporate sustainability. Data from 190 domestic small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that have adopted or plan to adopt smart technologies were analyzed. Supply chain capabilities were divided into two key components: internal flexibility and external collaboration. The findings reveal that higher smart manufacturing levels significantly enhance both supply chain capabilities and sustainability. Furthermore, supply chain capabilities mediate the relationship between smart manufacturing and sustainability. The integrated effect of internal flexibility and external collaboration strengthens this relationship more effectively than either factor alone. These insights highlight practical strategies for SMEs to leverage smart manufacturing and improve sustainable supply chain practices. By balancing internal and external capabilities, businesses can maximize the impact of smart technologies. This study expands the understanding of how smart manufacturing promotes sustainability across supply chains and provides valuable guidance for developing effective SCM strategies.
