국문 초록

본 연구는 인공지능의 등장과 기술 혁신이 시각장애인의 정보접근성에 미치는 영향을 분석하고, 정부, 기업, 복지관 차원의 다각적 지원 방안을 모색하는 것을 목적으로 수행하였다. 이를 위해 시각 장애 보조기기 개발, 접근성 정책, 교육 분야에서 전문가 10명을 연구참여자로 모집하여 초점집단면 담을 실시하였다. 이 중 7명은 시각장애인으로 당사자와 사용자 관점에서의 경험을 제공하였다. 연 구 결과, 4개의 주요 주제를 도출하였다: AI 및 신기술이 시각장애인의 정보접근성에 미치는 영향, 다양한 요구를 반영한 복지관 차원의 지원 방안, 기업 차원의 지원 방안, 신기술과 기기의 보급을 위한 정책적 노력. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 보조공학기기의 범위 재정의 및 지원 체계 개선, 유기적인 협력을 통한 교육 시스템 개선, 법적 규제 및 책무성 강화를 포함한 정부, 기업, 복지관 차원의 지원 방안을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims to analyze the role of AI and technological innovations in improving the information accessibility of visually impaired individuals, and to explore comprehensive support strategies from the perspectives of the government, corporations, and welfare centers. To achieve this, a Focus Group Interview (FGI) was conducted with 10 experts specializing in assistive device development for the visually impaired, accessibility policies, and education. Among them, 7 participants were visually impaired individuals, providing valuable insights from a user perspective. The data analysis revealed four key themes: the impact of AI and new technologies on the information accessibility of visually impaired individuals, support strategies at the welfare center level that address diverse needs, corporate-level support strategies, and policy efforts to promote the distribution of new technologies and devices. Based on the findings, this study suggests redefining the scope of assistive devices, enhancing educational systems through collaboration, and strengthening legal regulations and accountability among the welfare centers, government, corporations. The implications of the study and suggestions for future research are also discussed.
