국문 초록

이 연구는 학습자의 수준과 특성이 다양한, 교양 한국어 수업에서 한국인과의 실제적인 소통 능력을 강화하기 위한 방안으로서 SNS 활용 수업 방안을 제안하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 수업 방안 제시에 앞서 실시한 사전 조사에서 한국어 학습자들 대다수는 소통과 정보 교류의 목적으로 SNS를 활용하고 있었으며 주로 모국어로 페이스북과 인스타그램을 활용하였다. SNS의 학습적 특성 중‘지식 표현, 공유 및 피드백’과 출력 가설의 ‘주목 기능, 가설 검증 기능, 메타 언어적 기능’에 주목하여 이를 SNS 활용 한국어 수업 설계에 반영하였다. 140명을 대상으로 한 수업 만족도 조사 결과, 학습자들 대다수가 SNS 활용이 문법을 사용하고, 한국어로 쓰기와 말하기를 하는 데에 도움이 되었으며 이를 통해 한국어 의사소통에 자신감을 가지게 되었다고 하였다. 또한 향후 수업에서도 이를 활용하면 한국어 의사소통 능력이 향상될 것으로 기대하며 한국인과 SNS로 소통하고 정보를 교류하기를 희망하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to propose a teaching method utilizing social networking services (SNS) to enhance practical communication skills with Koreans in liberal arts Korean language classes, which cater to learners of varying levels and characteristics. Prior to presenting the teaching method, a preliminary survey was conducted, revealing that the majority of Korean language learners use SNS primarily for communication and information exchange, predominantly utilizing Facebook and Instagram in their native languages. The study focuses on the educational characteristics of SNS, such as 'knowledge expression, sharing, and feedback,' and the 'noticing function, hypothesis testing function, and metalinguistic function' of the output hypothesis, incorporating these into the design of Korean language classes utilizing SNS. As a result of the satisfaction survey of 140 students, most learners reported that using SNS helped them use grammar and practice writing and speaking in Korean, thereby boosting their confidence in Korean communication. Furthermore, learners expressed that continued use of SNS in future classes is expected to improve their Korean communication skills, and they hope to communicate and exchange information with Koreans through SNS.
