해외한국학에 대한 접근방법 연구 - 한국학의 유형 분석을 중심으로

국문 초록

최근 우리가 논의하는 한국학은 국제화, 세계화라는 관점을 포함하게 되면서 과거의 집합적 학문으로서의 한국학을 융합적 학문의 대상으로 깊이와 넓이를 더하게 되었다. 하지만 빠른 변화의 흐름으로인해 미처 생각하지 못한 현상에 대한 구체적인 그리고 미래지향적인 분석이 따르지 못한 점도 있고, 주위를 둘러볼 겨를도 없이 한국학의 국제화와 세계화만을 생각하였을지도 모른다. 본 논문은 먼저 한국학에 대한 우리의 관점과 연구의 방향을 다시금 정의하는 한 호흡을 가져야 할 시간이 필요함을 제안하고 있다. 그리고 다음으로 이를 위해 해외 한국학이라는 용어를 통해 국제화와 세계화에 의한 개방적인 한국학의 새로운 연구 방향을 제시하고있다. 즉, 해외에서 현지 학자들의 시각으로 진행되고 있는 해외한국학, 타자적 관점을 포함하고 있는 한국학, 타자의 필요에 의한 한국학에 대한 개방적 소통의 연구방향을 제안하고 있다. 이를 통해 한국학은 외향적(Out Bound) 한국학이라는 입장에서 내향적(In Bound) 한국학이 균형 있게 어우러진, 그리고 외국학과 지역학의 바탕에서 지역성을 넘어서는 한국학으로 강화될 수 있다.

영문 초록

The serious expansion of Korean overseasstudy around 2000 and the Korean wave were factors influencingthe expansion of Korean language education, from which overseasKorean language education and Korean studies research overseashave naturally continued. Along with this trend, interest in Koreaboth domestically and overseas is increasing daily. Korean studies encompasses a wide range of academic departmentsconcerned with Korea and is defined as a fusion discipline. There is no doubt that the Korean studies being discussedrecently are broader and more in-depth as a fusion disciplineincluding collected academics from the past while includinginternational and global viewpoints. The goal of this text is to review transformed research fieldsaccording to the expansion of Korean studies and changes inviewpoints due to globalization and internationalization throughthe terminology of national studies, Korean studies and overseasKorean studies. Through these, various research into Korean studies underdiscussion recently is classified into domestic or overseas researchand organized with a focus on new viewpoints for the globalizationof researchers' domestic and international Korean studies, aswell as for Korean studies fields regarding research carried outoverseas.
