가족돌봄청(소)년의 돌봄 유형과 서비스 욕구

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 2022년 10월부터 2023년 3월까지 수행된 ‘서울시 가족돌봄청(소)년 실태조사’ 자료를 토대로 가족돌봄청(소)년의 돌봄 유형과 이에 따른 서비스 욕구를 분석하였다. 서울시 거주 14-34세 이하 청(소)년 중 가족돌봄청(소)년 900명에 대한 데이터를 돌봄 유형, 셩별, 연령에 따라 유의미한 차이가 있는지 분석한 결과, 전반적으로 돌봄과 생계지원을 모두하고 있는 가족돌봄청(소)년이 돌봄으로 인한 어려움을 가장 크게 느끼고 있었다. 돌봄대상가족은 없다고 응답하였으나 실질적인 돌봄행위를 하고 있는 경우에도 돌봄으로 인한 상당한수준의 어려움을 겪고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이외에 성별이나 연령 구분에 따라서 가족돌봄청(소)년이 느끼는 어려움과 욕구에도 차이가 있었다. 이와 같은 분석 결과를 바탕으로 사회전반적으로 가족돌봄청(소)년에 대한 인식과 발굴을 강화하고, 가족돌봄청(소)년의 돌봄 유형과 서비스 욕구를 반영한 정책을 마련할 것을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

This study examined the caregiving types and service needs of young carers based on the data from the “survey of young carer in Seoul” conducted from October 2022 to March 2023. The data of 900 young carers under the age of 14 to 34 living in Seoul were analyzed by caregiving type, gender, and age to identify if there were significant differences. The results showed that those who were both caring and financially supporting their families felt the greatest difficulty due to caregiving. Even among those who reported not having family members who need care, significant difficulties due to caregiving were observed when they were actually involved in caregiving activities. Additionally, there were differences in the difficulties and service needs perceived by young carers based on gender and age group. Based on these findings, it was suggested to strengthen the recognition and identification of young carer in society and to formulate policies reflecting the specific service needs and caregiving type of young carers.
