평생교육 실천요소의 개념 생성과 유형화

국문 초록

본 연구는 평생교육 실천과 관련된 주요 문헌과 논문을 분석하여 평생교육 실천요소의 주요 개념을 생성하고, 유형화하여 각 요소에 대한 개념적 의미를 설명하고 논의하는 데 목적이 있었다. 연구의 결과, 평생교육 실천요소로 실천 주체, 실천 영역, 실천 대상, 실천 내용, 실천 철학과 목적, 실천 원리와 과정, 실천 성과 등 7개를 확인하였다. 본 연구에서 밝혀진 평생교육 실천의 각 요소는 다음과 같은 탐색적 의미를 부여할 수 있다. 첫째, 실천의 주체는 시민이 평생교육의 새로운 주체로서 다양한 실천에 관여하고 있음에 주목해야 한다. 둘째, 실천의 영역은 근거리 생활 터전에서 지역사회, 대학, 지자체 등 사회 전반으로 확산하고 있다. 셋째, 실천의 대상은 평생학습자뿐만 아니라 자발적 학습모임, 평생학습활동가, 평생교육자도 포함한다. 넷째, 실천의 내용은 평생교육프로그램과 평생학습사업을 기본으로 하며, 평생학습상담·컨설팅과 평생교육수업과 실천이 지원하고 있다. 다섯째, 실천의 철학과 목적은 미시적 수준의 개인 성취와 거시적 수준의 평생학습공동체의 형성 및 평생학습사회의 조성이 병행하고 있다. 여섯째, 실천의 원리와 과정은 주체들이 실천의 과정에서 발휘하는 실천적 지식과 기능적 역량에 초점이 맞춰진다. 일곱째, 실천의 성과는 결과, 성과, 효과의 차원에서 개인적인 성장과 변화는 물론이고 평생교육기관 및 지역사회 수준에서 확인되고 있다. 본 연구의 의의는 복잡한 평생학습의 생태계를 평생교육의 7대 요소를 기반으로 이해하고 설명할 수 있는 인식론적 토대의 가능성을 갖게 되었다는 사실이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to derive and categorize the practical elements of lifelong education and to explain and discuss the conceptual meaning of each element. The derived 7 elements of lifelong education practice can give the following exploratory meaning: First, the subject of practice should pay attention to the fact that citizens are involved in various practices as new subjects of lifelong education. Second, the area of practice is spreading from the short-distance living base to the community, universities, local governments, etc. Third, the subjects of practice include voluntary learning groups, lifelong learning activists, and lifelong educators as well as lifelong learners. Fourth, the contents of practice are based on lifelong education programs and lifelong learning projects, and lifelong learning counseling and consulting, lifelong education classes and practices are supported. Fifth, the philosophy and purpose of practice are the formation of micro-level personal fulfillment, macro-level lifelong learning community, and the creation of lifelong learning society. Sixth, the principle and process of practice focuses on the practical knowledge and functional competence that the subjects exercise in the process of practice. Seventh, the results of practice are confirmed at the level of lifelong education institutions and local communities as well as personal growth and change in terms of results, achievements, and effects.
