국문 초록

본 논문은 매체미학의 관점에서 영화 <시>(2010, 이창동)에 접근했다. <시>는언어매체인 시 예술이 지닌 감각성을 영화매체에 적극 수용함으로써, 인접예술을매개로 한 독특한 예술적 성취를 이루었다. 이는 미자의 타자 지향적 행위와 시창작 과정을 통합시킴으로써 이룬 영화의 주제적 성취와 동궤의 것이다. 본고에서는 이 과정을 시와 관련된 언어 행위의 시각 우위의 재현과 청각 우위의 재현으로 나누어 검토하였다. 시각 우위의 재현에서는 노트에 기록된 미자의 시를 중심으로 살펴보았다. 이시각화의 과정에서 그 시작 메모가 미자가 수기(手記)를 한, 필사의 결과라는 사실은 중요하게 다루어지지 않고 인쇄물과 유사하게 취급된다는 사실을 발견할수 있었다. 매체 연구에서 기계처리를 거친 활자는 공간 폐쇄와 정신의 사물화 경향을 보이는 것으로 간주된다. 그럼에도 문자-활자의 유용성은 부인할 수 없는분명한 사실인데, 그것은 공간 속에 고정된 채 남아있는 문자가, 사라지는 청각에비해 정보 전달 면에서 유리한 측면이 있기 때문이다. <시>에서 미자의 메모가영화의 소제목처럼 이어지는 사건을 설명하는 통합적 기능을 수행한다는 사실에서 이러한 특성을 확인할 수 있었다. 청각 우위의 재현에서 대표적인 장면은 시낭송회, 그리고 미자와 희진이 차례로 시를 낭송하는 마지막 시퀀스이다. 시낭송회에서 관객이 시각화된 청각을 경험했다면, 마지막 시퀀스에서는 아쿠스마틱 사운드를 경험하게 된다. 이 장면은시를 읽는 인물이 화면에 나타나지 않으면서 영상이 시간과 공간 안을 자유롭게돌아다니는 뮤직 비디오와 같은 방식으로 전개된다. 극화와 거리를 둔 이러한 재현은 <시>의 마지막 시퀀스를 헤테로토피아의 제시로 이끌고 있다. 이러한 분석을 토대로 필자는 영화 <시>가 독립과 분할의 감각을 중시하는 시각의 특성보다통합적이고 관계지향적인 청각을 보다 높은 가치로 상정하고 있으며, 언어매체의재현을 통해서 이를 드러냈다고 본다.

영문 초록

This thesis accesses (2010, Lee, Chang-dong) from the perspective of media aesthetics. applies sentience of poetic art as linguistic media, to film art, so gets special artistic achievement carried by adjacent art. This is as same as achievement in terms of the film’s subject reached by combining an other-oriented moral act of Mi-ja with process of poetic creation. This thesis examines it by dividing this process into representation of visual superiority and representation of audible superiority of language act related to poetry. In representation of visual superiority, the researcher focuses on poetry of Mi-ja written in a note. In this process of visualization, the researcher can discover that the fact that the poetic memo is a result of handwritten by Mi-ja is not underlined and is treated as printed matter. In a media study, it is regarded that type going through machine processing shows inclination of spatial closure and mental verdinglichung. However, usefulness of script-text is also an undeniable fact. This is because letter remaining by being fixed in space is better than disappearing hearing in terms of information delivery. This characteristic can be confirmed in the fact that the memo of Mi-ja plays an integrated role to explain subsequent events as a subheading in . Representative scenes in representation of audible superiority are poetry reading and the last sequence that Mi-ja and Hee-jin recite a poem in order. If audience experiences visualized hearing in poetry reading, audience experiences acousmatique sound in the last sequence. This is because characters reciting a poem does not appear on the screen. This scene is developed by a method as music video that a picture roams freely in time and space. This representation keeping at arm’s length with dramatization leads audience to heterotopia space time in the last sequence. Based on this analysis, the researcher thinks that the film supposes that integrated and relation-oriented audible culture is highly valuable than visual culture laying stress on sense of independence and division, and shows this through representation of linguistic media
