AI 영화에 재현된 탈기술적 징후: 과잉 생산된 억압과 폭력성

국문 초록

인간보다 더 인간적인 AI는 할리우드 공상과학 영화의 주된 주제로 등장한다. 인간이 기계가 되려는 욕망과 기계가 인간다움을 지향하는 이 두 주제를 관통하는 문제는 바로 인간이다. 현상적으로만 본다면 인간의 사이보그화와 AI 로봇이인간이 되려는 욕망은 서로 교차하는 다른 욕망 같지만 실상 이 둘은 하나라는것을 명심해야 한다. 그 공통된 질문이 향하는 곳은 인간은 무엇이며 어떻게 살아야 하는가라는 현실에 대한 보편적 화두를 상상적인 영역으로부터 빌려와 제시한다는 점이다. 영화 속 인공지능은 완벽한 기계로서 존재하지만 인간의 관점에서는 이성이 존재하지 않는 불완전한 존재가 된다. 그로 인해 인공지능은 완벽한 기계적 학습을 통해 자신의 불완전성을 해소하기 위해 자신의 창조주인 인간을 탐하는 것으로 묘사된다. 이에 영화 속 인공지능은 인간과의 교감을 통해 이성과 감성을 학습하게 되고 어느 순간 인간과 같은 존재로 여겨지도록 재현되어인간과 인공지능의 경계를 모호하게 만든다. 이는 영화 속에서 엉뚱하게도 계급의 전복을 통해 과잉 생산된 억압에 의해 폭력적 결과를 양산하는 것으로 재현된다. 이에 본고에서는 역설적으로 인공지능의 시점에서 인간적 사고를 탐하는 그들의 행위를 탈기술적 징후로 정의하여 인공지능이 인간을 모방하고자 하는 근본적인 이유에 대하여 인간이 갖는 과한 욕망이 원인이 될 수 있음을 심도 깊게파헤치고자 한다.

영문 초록

The artificial Intelligence as known as ‘A.I’ is more human than humans, appears as the main theme of Hollywood science fiction films. Human being is the problem which penetrates two themes; The desire of human to be a machine and the point that machines aim for humanism. In terms of phenomena, human cyborgization and A.I robots to become human being seem to have different desires but it should be remembered that these two are actually aiming for same problem which is human. The common question is that it borrows and presents universal topics about the reality of what human beings are and the way of living. Artificial intelligence in the movie exis ts as a perfect machine, but from a human point of view, it becomes an incomplete existence. As a result, A.I is described as coveting its human creator to address their imperfections through perfect mechanical learning. Therefore, artificial intelligence in the movies learn intellect and sensibility through communication with humans. Eventually this makes machine to consider itself to be a human at some point blurring the boundaries between humans and artificial intelligence. This is repeated as the movie produces violent consequences by over-produced oppression through the subversion of the class. Thus this article defines the behavior of coveting human thinking at the point of artificial intelligence as a de-technical sign to delve deeply into the fact that human desire for the fundamental reason why artificial intelligence can be the cause.
