국문 초록

본 연구는 특수교사들의 임파워먼트 수준을 알아볼 수 있는 특수교사 임파워먼트 척도를 개발하고 그 타당성을 검증하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 기존의 교사 임파워먼트 이론과 측정도구에 대한 문헌고찰을 근거로 예비문항을 구성하고, 특수교사 52명을 대상으로 개방형 설문지를 통해 특수교사들만의 독특한 교직환경 및 근무조건을 반영하는 특수교사 임파워먼트 하위 구성요인을 측정하는 문항들을 개발하였다. 그 결과, 46개 문항의 특수교사 임파워먼트 예비문항을 추출하였다. 그리고 본 검사에서는 4개 도시의 특수교사 143명을 대상으로 최종척도를 산출하였다. 즉, 최종척도에 대한 신뢰도 검증을 위해 내적 합치도를 산출하였고, 구인타당도 검증을 위해 탐색적 요인분석과 확인적 요인분석을 실시하였다. 탐색적 요인분석 결과 자기결정력, 효능감, 영향력, 목적의식, 직무만족의 5개 요인이 추출되었으며, 각 요인별로 총 25문항이 구성된 특수교사 임파워먼트 척도가 개발되었다. 이와 같이 개발된 척도의 적합도 검증을 위하여 AMOS프로그램을 이용하여 확인적 요인분석을 실시한 결과, 다양한 부합도 지수들이 적절하게 나타나 본 척도가 특수교사에 대한 임파워먼트를 측정하는 비교적 타당하고 신뢰로운 도구로 기능할 수 있음을 보여주었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to develop and validate the empowerment scale for special education teachers. To accomplish this purpose, this study discuss the extant major works on teacher empowerment and defines the concept of empowerment and its factors. It also reviews related researches amd undertakes the preliminary test. At the initial stage, items for the preliminary test are drawn from the theoretical revieew abd open-questions. Then, subjects are sampled for the preliminary test. Test results are analyzed to develop the main test. After the item analysis and the exploratory factor analysis are undertaken, total items are reduced to 25 items and the reliability coefficients of the special education teacher empowerment scale shows to be adequate(r=.92). The main test has been done for teachers in special education school or classroom. As result of the exploratory factor analysis, empowerment scale comes to consists of 5 factors(goal-oriented awareness, efficacy, self-determination, impact, job satisfaction). Each and every factor includes 4-5 items and the total is 25 items. The results of the confirmatory factor analysis demonstrate that the teacher empowerment scale is a valid instrument.
