영문 초록

Among the Korean conditional connective endings such as '-myeon', '-damyeon', '-eoya', 'geoteun', '-deondeur' and '-rjindae', '-myeon' is most widely used. In this paper, '-myeon' is considered in aspects of syntax and semantics. The common features and differences between '-myeon' and its' corresponding expressions in Chinese are clarified. The author found that both of them could be used in sentences with all kinds of final forms and Korean pre-final endings do not affect '-myeon''s Chinese expressions. However, according to '-myeon''s semantic functions in sentences, its expression in Chinese could be listed as causal, hypothetical or conditional relationship and sometimes conjunctive markers even do not show up. The author tried to find the way of usage of conjunctive markers in the Chinese expressions to Korean connective sentences with '-myeon' by classify them according to their semantic patterns.
