영문 초록

The Animal Names is a well acquainted word-field with our life. If we study the structure and character of Korean and Chinese animal Names, we can get the way of thinking and life style of Korean and Chinese people. When we naming the existence, we can make a expansion step by step from the basic-level. For instance, in Korean animal names 'byeoruk → mulbyeoruk → jageun-mulbyeoruk', We can say 'byeoruk' is the basic-level, 'mulbyeoruk' is step Ⅰ, and 'jageun-mulbyeoruk' is step Ⅱ, and so on. In the stepⅠ names, the part added by basic-level contains many informations. So in this paper, I will mainly study the animal names in stepⅠ. When we naming an animal, the animal's external feature and the self feature will be reflected in the new names. And when we reflect the features to the names, we use direct or indirect ways. So in this paper, I will make a comparative study of the features reflected by the Korean and Chinese animal Names and show the reflected ways.
