혁신 제약과 정부지원제도가 물류업의 혁신 성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

국문 초록

제 4차 산업혁명 시대의 새로운 기술은 물류산업에 기술적 혁신과 새로운 서비스의 도입을 이끌 것으로 예측되어, 국내 물류업의 혁신을 이루기 위한 국가적 차원의 대응이 논의되고 있다. 그러나 물류산업의 혁신 제약이 혁신 성과에 미치는 영향에 대한 논의가 이루어지지 않아, 물류업의 혁신을 촉진하기 위한 방안 마련에 대한 근거가 부족한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 물류산업의 혁신 제약이 혁신 성과에 미치는 영향을 파악하고, 더불어 혁신 제약과 혁신 성과의 관계에 있어 정부지원제도가 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 2016년 한국기업혁신조사 데이터를 활용하였으며, 요인분석을 바탕으로 혁신 제약을 자본적 제약과 역량적 제약으로 구분하였다. 정부지원제도로는 조세지원, 자금지원, 금융지원, 인력지원, 기술지원, 인증지원, 구매지원의 총 7가지를 고려하였다. 연구결과 물류기업이 자본적 제약에 직면할수록 높은 혁신 성과를 달성하는 경향이 있음이 검증되었으나, 역량적 제약의 직접적인 영향은 검증되지 않았다. 또한 조세지원, 자금지원, 금융지원, 인력지원, 구매지원과 같은 정부지원제도는 역량적 제약이 혁신 성과에 미치는 영향을 긍정적으로 조절함을 밝혔으나, 기술지원과 인증지원의 조절효과는 검증되지 않았다. 기업의 역량적 제약의 수준에 따른 정부지원제도가 갖는 직접적 영향과 조절적 영향을 바탕으로 혁신 성과와의 관계를 논의하였다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 물류산업의 혁신을 촉진하기 위한 정부지원제도의 수립 및 활용과 더불어 물류 기업의 혁신 전략에 대해 제언하였다.

영문 초록

During the Fourth Industrial Revolution, new technologies will lead to technological innovation. There are studies on how the domestic logistics industry will see the introduction of new services and receive national attention on achieving innovation. However, given the lack of discussion on the impact of innovation constraints on innovation performance in the logistics industry, there is insufficient evidence on the methods for promoting innovation in the industry. This study identified the impact of innovation constraints on innovation performance in the logistics industry and analyzed the impact of government support systems on the relationship between innovation constraints and performance. The results showed that logistics companies tend to achieve higher innovation performance when facing funding-related constraints, while the direct impact of capability-related constraints was not established. The government support systems – tax, fund, finance, manpower, and purchasing support – positively moderate the impact of capability-related constraints on innovation performance; however, the moderating effect of technical and certification support was not established. Based on the results, we suggest ways to establish and utilize government support systems and propose innovation strategies that can help logistics firms promote innovation.
