남성 지체장애인의 건강 수준에 영향을 미치는 요인과 교육적 함의

국문 초록

연구목적: 사회경제적 수준이 낮은 인구집단에서 흡연의 위험이 상대적으로 높다는 것이 알려져 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 성인 남성 지체장애인의 흡연 현황을 파악하고, 현재 흡연에 미치는 영향요인(특히 사회경제적 수준)을 변별하여 지체장애인에 대한 건강증진정책의 근거를 제시하는 것에 있다. 연구방법: 2017년 장애인실태조사 원자료를 활용하여 연령표준화 현재 흡연율을 산출하였으며, 복합 조사 로지스틱 회귀분석을 적용하여 다른 요인을 보정한 후의 영향을 확인하였다. 연구결과: 성인 남성 지체장애인의 연령표준화 현재 흡연율은 45.1% (95% CI 44.9-45.2)였다. 다른 요인을 보정한 후 기초생활수급권자는 가장 소득수준이 높은 집단에 비해 흡연을 할 위험이 1.97배(95% CI 1.14-3.39) 높았다. 결론: 본 연구의 결과를 토대로 지체장애인의 현재 흡연율 감소시키기 위한 정책이 수행될 필요가 있으며, 장애인의 사회경제적 수준을 향상시키는 노력이 병행되어야한다는 것을 확인하였다.

영문 초록

Purpose: Previous research demonstrated that people on the lower socioeconomic status are significantly more likely to smoke cigarettes. This study (a) calculated the age-standardized current smoking rate of adult male people with physical disabilities, and (b) identified the impact of factors (especially the socioeconomic level) on the current smoking after adjusting other factors. Method: The Survey for People with Disabilities (2017) was employed for calculating the smoking rates of adult male persons with physical disabilities and performing logistic regression for complex survey data. Results: The age-standardized smoking rates of adult male persons with physical disabilities were 45.1% (95% CI 44.9-45.2). After adjusting other factors, the odds ratio of the basic livelihood condition on the current smoking was estimated at 1.97 (95% CI 1.14-3.39). Conclusion: Our findings indicated that the current smoking level of people with physical disabilities was higher than people without disabilities. The socioeconomic level significantly affected to the smoking rates and health level in persons with physical disabilities.
