중학생의 자기인식, 학업적 자기효능감이 학교적응과 학업성취도에 미치는 종단적 영향 연구

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 중학생의 자기인식, 학업적 자기효능감, 학교적응과 학업성취도의 종단적인 관계를 살펴보기 위하여 경기교육종단연구 중학생 패널 4차년도(2014년), 5차년도(2015년), 6차년도(2017년) 데이터를 사용하여 다변량 잠재성장모형 분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과를 종합하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 중학생들은 학년이 올라갈수록 자기인식은 증가하다가 감소하였고, 학업적 자기효능감과 학교적응은 감소하였으며, 학업성취도는 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 자기인식, 학업적 자기효능감, 학교적응과 학업성취도의 종단 관계를 분석한 결과 세 변인의 초기치는 학업성취의 초기치와 변화율을 정적으로 예측한 반면, 세 변인의 변화율은 학업성취도의 변화율을 부적으로 예측하였다. 셋째, 세 변인의 변화율이 학업성취도 변화율에 미친 영향력을 분석해 보면, 학업성취도에 영향력이 큰 변수는 순서대로 학업적 자기효능감, 자기인식, 학교적응 순으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 결과를 바탕으로 중학교 교육에 대한 시사점을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This study is to examine the longitudinal relationship among self-recognition, academic self-efficacy, school adjustment, and academic achievement of the middle school students. We constructed a multivariate latent growth model analysis using the three years sequential data of middle school students(2015-2017). The results of this study were as follows. First, middle school students showed that self-recognition increased and decreased as they go up in grade, while academic self-efficacy and school adjustment decreased, and academic achievement increased. Second, the longitudinal relationships of self-recognition, academic self-efficacy, school adjustment with the academic achievement were as following. The initial values of the three variables are positively correlated with the initial value and the rate of change of academic achievement, while the rate of change of the three variables had negative correlation with the rate of change in academic achievement. Third, we analyzed the influence of the rate of change of three variables on the rate of change in academic achievement. The variables with the greatest influence on academic achievement were in order of academic self-efficacy, self-recognition, and school adjustment. Based on these results, we discussed implications for middle school education.
