중학교 학생의 기초학습기능과 학업성적과의 관계

국문 초록

본 연구는 중학생들의 학업성적을 유의하게 예언하는 기초학습기능이 무엇인지 알아보기 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. 이를 위해서 중학생 63명을 대상으로 기초학습기능 검사를 실시하고 해당 학교의 1학기 기말고사 자료를 활용하여 수집된 자료의 변인들과의 관계를 알아보기 위해 중다회귀분석을 실시하고 회귀계수와 중다상관계수의 유의도를 검증하였다. 연구의 결과는 읽기는 국어, 수학, 영어 등의 과목을 유의하게 예언하나, 쓰기는 유의하게 예언하지 않으며, 셈하기는 모든 과목을 유의하게 예언하였다. 특히 국어성적은 읽기의 영향을 가장 크게 받으며 수학, 과학, 영어 등의 성적은 셈하기의 영향을 가장 크게 받았다. 따라서 읽기와 셈하기 기능이 국어, 수학, 과학, 영어성적에 크게 영향을 미치므로 학교현장에서 읽기와 셈하기 기능을 향상시키는 것이 학생의 기초학습능력을 향상시켜 학업성취도를 높일 수 있는 방안이 될 것이다.

영문 초록

This study was performed in order to see what the basic study function is and whether it can foretell the scholastic attainment of middle school students meaningfully. So, 63 middle school students was selected as subjects to basic learning function. To reveal the relations among collected variables by using final term data of first semester in each school, multiple regression analysis was performed and verified the meaningfulness of regression figures and multipl for regression coefficient. The results are as follows. First, reading, writing, calculating show high meaningful relation and calculating show highest relationship, followed by reading score and writing score showed lowest relationship. Second, the best predictable function about mother tongue is reading, followed by calculating and analyzed meaningfully, but regression figures that writing predict about the score of mother tongue were not meaningful. Third, the basic learning function which foretell the math, science, English score remarkably are calculating first and next reading, which was also meaningfully analyzed. But the regression figures which foretell the math and science score were not meaningful. Fourth, the basic learing function foretell 50.8% of mother tongue score, 42.6% of math acore, 39.0% of science score, 48.6% of English and all subjects were related meaningfully with basic learning function in the level of p<.001. Accordingly, improving students’ reading and calculating would be good method to developing their basic learning ability and scholastic attainment. Based on the conclusions through this study, these suggestions are made. First, study which shows how much writing function influence on scholastic attainment should made systematically. Second, the basic learning program which can improve scholastic attainment should be made. Third, lots of efforts to develop delayed students are absolutely necessary in school. Fourth, in order to see the influence which basic learning function has on the scholastic attainment, task-centered quality study should be followed.
